We’ve got a Screamer!
I was smart this year. I had no desire to wait in long lines to see Santa Claus with my overly dramatic 5 year old or my squirmy, silly 19 month old. Instead, I left home at the end of the third quarter of the Iron Bowl and decided to see the big guy while everyone else was at home cheering (or scowling, depending on your team). I was nice this year. I let my hubby take BOTH tickets to the game, while I cheered from home and braved the mall with two crazy little children. Ella was really excited to talk with Santa this year and had really been practicing what she was going to ask him for. She decided that she didn't need (or have any room for) toys this year and wanted clothes, shoes and books instead. She knew she wanted to ask him for the entire Junie B. Tide You Over Thursday
I know you're all waiting for beach pictures, but this week has been exhausting. Instead, I thought I'd offer this little video from dinner. She is so funny these days, but was NOT interested in participating tonight. I love hearing her talk and do her funny little things. Things that are so Sophie. Words she's saying: Ella (sometimes La-La, sometimes Ewwa) Mama Dada Beemer (Nnn-da, but we know that's what she means) Garan (Gagan) Hi Hello Bye Bite Tinda (this means cup, but I'm not sure why) Toothbrush Quack Quack Moo Jojo (Joel) Jared Nana (Banana) Wagon Outside Mmmm Up/Out ...
Wake Up!
It's been awhile since we had a video to share, so I thought I'd post this one of Sophie post-nap on Sunday afternoon. She wakes up SO happy and is always so excited to see you when you go into the nursery to get her. I heard her moving around in there and when I opened the door she was playing happily. I watched her through the crack for a minute until she realized that someone was coming in. So I grabbed the camera and we had a little chat before I got her out. Please excuse my poor videography skills, the noise machine in the background {I finally remember to cut it off} and the barking dog. Sorry that Sophie talks so quietly and that the flip doesn't pick her up well when her back is to the camera. For the record, in this video she says {her versions of} Beemer, Garan, Uh-Oh, Thank ...
