Graduation
Guess who graduated into big girl seats this morning? I've been meaning to get Ella a booster seat for several weeks and she finally reminded me enough times that I stopped on my way home last night to pick up the big surprise. You would have thought I brought ice cream or something. I was going to wait until Soph's birthday to move her into the Britax, but I figured if I had to unlatch and untether and relatch and retether, I may as well do it all at once. Can you say happy girls? This might have been the easiest morning buckle-up in my parenting history. She looks so tiny to me in this big ole seat Two happy girls, ready for school! Ella screaming about how happy she is and how much she loves her new seat And just in case anybody needs to know, Sophie is in an appropriate ...
Pretty Girl
Now that you've seen my living room, I can show you these beauties! K outdid herself, as usual, on Soph's nine-ish month photoshoot. ...
Oui Oui
My little bit has a slight love affair with this plastic crinkle cut french fry. It hangs off of her lip like a cigar quite regularly. In fact, two mornings this week I've gone into her room to wake her up and found her sucking on it?! I have no idea how she managed to get to bed with it twice without me knowing it. If her lovey is a plastic french fry, I might cry. ...
Valentine’s Day is Over??
I forgot to share what my little bitties got for Valentine's Day. Better late than never, right? It isn't a huge day around our house, but I do like to help my girls make something special for their friends and I always buy them a sweet little treat to open at breakfast or dinner, depending on when the holiday falls. This year, SD and I kind of got our wires crossed and he ended up with V-Day plans that didn't include me. It was kind of funny after I got over having my feelings hurt. From now on I'll know that when I say "no Valentine's" to indicate no gifts, it can easily be interpreted as "no Valentines" as in let's not celebrate at all. They should write a manual on how men and women speak different languages! Instead, we had yummy crock-pot chicken tacos that I put on that ...
"Short" Order Cook
Guess what shorty's favorite thing to do is these days? Steal away to sister's room and whip us up a snack. She has figured out how to get the cabinet open and will play with the fake food for hours. No kidding. She did this for well over an hour last Sunday morning while we all got ready for church. She thinks she is too cute playing in here. As for Ella... not so much. ...
Love Letters: Ten Months
Oh, Sophie. I know I've said this before, but ten months might be my favorite. We are teetering along the line between baby and big girl. It's like best of both worlds. You are still so snuggly but I can still keep up with you. You will eat whatever we're having without complaint and you love to try new foods. You are fiercely independent and can navigate the house all by yourself, but you're not quite ready to walk and run and hide. You are still pretty small at just over 17 pounds, but boy are you tall! We laughed because you wore a cute 3-6 month top yesterday, but you had on 12 months leggings. We talk about how envious we'll all be when you are a skinny teenager with long legs. Despite your length, you still have chubby little feet and your toes curl up when you aren't wearing shoes. ...
Happy ♥ Day!
These are the girls Valentine's cards to share with their friends at school today. The lollipop isn't on the printed cards, we punched holes above and below Ella's hands and stuck a Jolly Rancher sucker through the card. I saw the idea on Design Mom last year and couldn't wait to use it this year. They turned out even better than I hoped! {Love Letters will be posted tomorrow since today is Valentine's Day} ...
