alternately titled, New York City via Instagram! 183/365: This was one of those weeks that couldn't pass quick enough. We were so ready for our long weekend and thankfully, work wasn't too stressful. My friend & I took a lunch-time trip to the mall on Monday for a few last-minute travel necessities (i.e. tie-dyed skinnies from the Gap and a few tank tops that were on clearance for $2!?). We also managed a yummy salad at the tex-mex place, followed up by a delicious Steel City Pops chocolate popsicle. When I got home that night, I packed for the weekend in an overnight bag. Y'all, this is serious. I packed for 5 days in NYC in a CARRY ON BAG. 184/265: Tuesday was house cleaning, children/animal organizing, reading material acquiring and boarding pass printing. Nothing super fun, ...

Dailies / Week 26
176/365: Monday made me a VERY happy girl. Not only did M&S announce that they were rescheduling the New Orleans show for a day we can be there, but they are playing in Birmingham the week before!! We probably won't be doing both shows, but this just means we will definitely get to see them this year. We're going to try and snag tickets to the local show next week and then sell our NOLA ones (anybody interested), but at least we have them in case we aren't so lucky. I finished out the day with hot yoga and macaroni & cheese from the box. Delish. 177/365: My happy box from Stitch Fix arrived on Tuesday and at first glance everything was a keeper. The girls had been in the pool all day when I stopped to get them and there were too many people there to say no. I ran home and ...
Dailies / Week 25
169/365: Monday I was THRILLED to be back at yoga and some sort of normal schedule after our disastrous Sunday. While I was gone, Josh and his best friend Chris, took the girls to Chuck E. Cheese for dinner. Can we talk about good daddies? They were in town for a few days and my girls were so excited to see them. I was just excited to avoid the death trap that is Chuck E. Cheese for a little longer. 170/365: I finally got back to work on Tuesday and it was weird to wear real clothes and fix my hair. Of course my morning was made better by a new dress from the LOFT outlet and a new song from my boyfriend. Thank you, JM. After work, we headed over to a local farm to pick up the newest member of our family. Meet Killer. She looks deadly, right? 171/365: On Wednesday nights this ...
Dailies / Week 24
162/365: Our second day at the beach had a similar forecast to the first, but the difference was our sweet daddy wasn't there. He had to work that Monday and since the wireless internet had been zapped by lightening the night before, he had to sit at Starbucks, twenty minutes away, and work while we played. Unfortunately, there wasn't much playing since the rain hung around. Instead, the girls played cards, I read books, ate too much pasta salad and after Josh got back we took a swim and a sanity drive. 163/365: Thankfully, Tuesday morning dawned beautifully and we packed our lunches and headed to the beach for the day. To say my children are beach babies is a gross understatement. I don't think there was a single complaint heard all day. 164/365: On Wednesday morning we spent some ...
Dailies / Week 23
155/365: I am still loving yoga class and I'm so sad when I have to miss it. I really wish I could squeeze an extra class in the week, but I don't have another night available. I'm gonna have to start doing it at home a couple days a week or something. I can tell a huge difference in my balance and flexibility! After class that night, I went through Ella's end-of-the-year stuff and found a list of her top 5 things about kindergarten. I love how she spells and writes! 156/365: On Tuesday, I ran. That's about it... 157/365: By Wednesday, K & I were having serious beach-related problems. We were so ready to go and all we did was text and talk on the phone about how terrible it was that half of our family was already there and we were still working. I know other people love the ...
Dailies / Week 22
148/365: Memorial Day was such a wonderful day spent at the pool with my family. The water was still a little green, but that did not stop the littles from diving right in. We grilled out and ate yummy food all day and enjoyed the first of many days in the sun. 149/365: On Tuesday morning, our M&S tickets were finally in the mailbox! We've been anxiously awaiting their arrival for months and I'm happy to have them in my hand. I cannot believe it's only ten days away. We cannot wait to road trip to NOLA. I ran my last mid-day mileage for the summer that same day. 81* is harsh and the humidity in Alabama is killer in the summer. I managed to complete 4 miles, but I was drenched when I got back to work. 150/365: My small group just finished up Francis Chan's Forgotten God a few ...
Dailies / Week 21
141/365: I snapped this picture of the front corner of our house on my way to work Monday. My dad & I transplanted this Confederate Jasmine the second summer we lived in our house and I wasn't sure it would make it. It was a little sprig and barely had enough length to reach the trellis on our chimney. Six years later, it is out of control. It has completely taken over this side of our house and I am in LOVE with it. We've been sleeping with that window open (the one you can barely see for the flowers) a night and our bedroom smells heavenly! 142/365: I did some speed work on the treadmill Tuesday morning and I remembered that I had worn this exact outfit in my first race. It's kind of hard to tell, but I've actually lost quite a bit of weight since then! 143/365: On Wednesday, I ...
Dailies / Week 20
I'm a few weeks behind on the Dailies, so buckle up for a few rounds of catch up! 134/365: Monday was awesome. I got in a great run at lunch (in my new Under Armour capris, thank you SD!!) and sweated it out at hot yoga later that day. It was great to get in two workouts in one day, since I've been struggling to find the time this month! 135/365: On Tuesday, I finished reading Sookie, was late for work because this little Taz insisted on riding with me and I managed another four-miler at lunch. 136/365: On Wednesday, I was still fascinated with the new app A Beautiful Mess, so I shared my breakfast with a quick edit. I had to return some pants to Gap and picked up this dress in exchange. Yes, it was quite a bit more than the pants, but I've been swooning over it and decided I ...
