I'm usually way ahead of the game when it comes to Valentine's Day crafts. I start shopping the dollar spot and clearance holiday sections at all of my favorite stores right after Christmas and the girls and I spend plenty of time brainstorming catchy slogans for their classroom cards. I know what you're thinking-- I should just buy the cards already -- but I really do enjoy making them from scratch! In years past, we've run the gamut from easy peasy to crazy complicated. I thought it might be fun to do a little recap in case you're looking for inspiration already. Ballerina Themed Lollipop Tutu Tutorial (heart shaped lollipops via ...

Five on Friday 002
We made it through another week and fortunately this one was short thanks to Memorial Day! The kids are so thrilled to be out of school for the summer and we're already enjoying later bedtimes and sleeping in. I'm keeping my regular schedule and loving getting a few extra hours of sleep before heading into the office mid-morning. I was worried I wouldn't love staying at work late at night, knowing the kids were at home, but it turns out it works perfectly for summer. We're tackling a few more projects this week and next and then it's vacation city for us all! 001 | KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION It's a little insane to think that Sophie's already conquered kindergarten. Where did my baby go? As nostalgic as I get, I'm not one of those mamas that longs for nursing and rocking my babies to ...
DIY Unicorn Party
It's been over a month since Sophie's sixth birthday party, but I can't stop thinking about it. It wasn't the most elaborate (or the most expensive) party we've ever thrown, but it was certainly one of the most fun. Her only request this year besides unicorns and rainbows, was to have her party at home. We celebrated her first birthday in our dining room, but every party since then has been at Gran's house or at a local venue. Since our house is on the market, she was worried this might be her last opportunity. After a few minor snafus, we reserved a bounce house for the weekend, spent a month working in the yard and invited all of our favorite people over to celebrate! Enter Sophie's DIY Unicorn Party. When I found this t-shirt (sources below) on the web, I knew it was perfect for ...
Speech Bubble Embellishments
You know it's pretty special when I post twice in one day, right? I wanted to pop in today and leave you with some free Speech Bubble Embellishments that you can use in your Bible or your planner pages or in some other magically nifty way I haven't thought of yet! A few days ago, Bailey posted an image of my speech bubble on Instagram. I originally created this for my own Bible, but added printed versions to my first batch of stamp orders earlier this year. A few people had posted them on the web, but even before Bailey shared her image, I was getting email requests. I decided instead of continuing to email individual files one zillion times a day, I should just add them to the blog so you can download them whenever you'd like! I've added a few additional quotes (some of my ...
Last Minute Valentines Printables
Is there anybody still trying to figure out what in the world their kids are exchanging for Valentine's Day?! We finally managed to get all of our cards cut and constructed today, but we were really coming down to the wire. For any of you still floundering on what to do, I've put together two quick ideas that will work perfectly for a last minute craft. We bought all of our supplies at Target this afternoon, but you can easily find items to substitute at the party store or at Hobby Lobby. First up are these Mustache Sticker Valentines. These packages were only $3 and have 18 mustaches each! We just cut the clear plastic card down so that each mustache was on a separate card and stapled it to the printable. Ella really got a kick out of the wording on this one, so she decided to take ...
January By the Numbers
One of my favorite things to introduce on the blog last year was a monthly recap called "by the numbers." It included a miniature infographic covering all that took place throughout each month. Sure, some of the things you already knew, but others didn't warrant their own post and wound up there instead. There may be times this year when these are accompanied by photographs that didn't make the blog - or other tidbits of information you didn't already know - but sometimes they'll just hang out on their own. Either way, I'm excited to bring back our monthly infographics and attempt to get one on the blog every single month this year. There might even be a Free Bible Journaling Printable in it for those who make it all the way through this post. Who's with me?!We made our 9th annual trip to ...
DIY Coloring Page Valentines
Who's ready for DIY Coloring Page Valentines?! Printables and parties are my love language. I could sit and dream up fun little classroom treats all day long, so I love these first few weeks of February when I can share them to my heart's content. This is the second of this year's Valentine's Day posts (you can catch the first one here) and I hope you love these cute little coloring pages as much as we do! Since Sophie is obsessed with crayons and crafts, I knew I wanted to create some sort of coloring page for her to share with her friends. I say this every year, but I am a huge fan of non-candy treats and I'm sure kids with allergies or other food restrictions are super happy to get something they won't have to give away! I designed a super simple set (say that three times fast!) of ...
DIY Diamond Ring Valentines
A version of this post first appeared on Oh My! Creative. Visit Susan's site for beautiful inspiration and meet me there the fourth Thursday of every month for new printables and kids' crafts. I know it's Tuesday and I'm not usually hanging out over here, but I'm kind of in love with my new site and just want to share allthethings. Since Valentines Day is closing in on us quick, I thought I would share a few more quick DIYs this week for my fellow procrastinators out there! How adorable are these DIY Diamond Ring Valentines? I mean, diamonds ARE a girl's best friend. DIY Diamond Ring Valentines Instructions Every year, I struggle to come up with several different ideas for the girls' cards. We have dance friends and school friends and church friends and cousins galore! Sure, I ...
