You can read more about our affiliate relationships here. two months as of November 5, 2018 The past two months have flown by. I don't know why, but when I pictured my maternity leave, I didn't expect it to fly by so quickly. The first month was filled with lazy days, recovering from surgery and sleeping beside Polly every chance I could get. In the second month, Polly really woke up and we were able to get a better picture of what life would look like with her in it. I worked considerably more in October than I did in September. I barely blogged, but I did start reading again. Polly and I began to venture out away from home a bit, visiting friends + family, ...

I asked you guys on Instagram a few weeks ago, if you preferred straightforward product reviews or if you liked having our favorite products integrated into lifestyle posts. It was really interesting to me that the response was pretty much split, but I got great feedback from so many mamas and the bottom line was -- you wanted to see what baby products we're loving. Today's featured product is one we received in exchange for review, but it's also one I can enthusiastically ...

For those of you who read regularly, you'll know we're in the lengthy process of buying my childhood home -- and eventually we'll be doing a remodel and the girls' rooms are first on the list. Until then, our third bedroom is filled with boxes and Josh's temporary office, while Ella and Sophie continue sharing the other room. In the beginning of my pregnancy, I insisted that ...

The girls were beside themselves when it was finally time to give Polly a real bath. Granted it was twelve days in (her umbilical stump was the most stubborn of all!), but they didn't think those sponge baths really counted. Gran has given the first bath to all of her grandkids and my absolutely favorite part of that is the role of the big green bowl. This is the same bowl that my mom uses to make her famous Christmas Cookies, so it's ...
Polly’s Birth Story
Let's all laugh at the fact that I just knew I would be back to blogging the week after Polly's birth. I had post ideas for that entire week and it never occurred to me that I wouldn't feel well enough to sit at my computer, let alone that I wouldn't want to put her down for one single second. The last two weeks have been perfect and although I'm ready to return to this space, I am very much enjoying our quiet, lazy days and our posting schedule will likely be a little lighter than normal until I return to work. Thank you all so much for the prayers, well wishes, and patience -- Polly and I are both doing so well and appreciate your love and support! While none of the following photos are graphic in nature, there are real time photos of Polly's Cesarean delivery, so if you are ...
