Here's another photo-filled post, with my favorite photos from her newborn session, that I never shared. My sister came over to take newborn photos, a few weeks after Polly was born. It was one of those mornings. You know the kind that I mean -- Josh forgot that we were having photos at all, the big girls were in horrible moods, and I hadn't had a shower in days. I threw in some dry shampoo, threw on an oversized shirt, and told my family they could wear whatever they wanted for our family photos. This is what happened next. She still looks just like this when she wakes up in the mornings! I figured that we could have a black and white family photo printed and nobody would even know how ridiculous we looked. What I didn't expect was to love this photo exactly how it is. Josh ...

Eleven Months With Polly
It's not like I didn't know that it would happen, but it's so weird to think that she'll be a whole year old when I write this post next month. Everything is blazing by so fast and I feel like I can't quite keep up. We are all so excited for every milestone and can't wait to celebrate Polly, this time next month, but I'm still trying so hard to savor every second that she's a baby. eleven months as of august 5, 2019 Height + Weight: We don’t go back to the pediatrician until she’s a year old, but I’m guessing not much has changed since her nine month doctor's visit. She’s pretty close to twenty pounds and growing fast! Clothes: Polly is wearing mostly 12 months or 12-18 months clothing these days. It's hard to buy things too far in advance, because her growth seems to happen in ...
Ten Months With Polly
When your 10 month birthday is the day after a national holiday, you pretty much have to dress up and post your photo a day early, right? I bought these constellation shoes for Josh for Father's Day last year, because we didn't know if Polly was a girl or boy and he had been obsessing over how cute these were. They came in pretty handy for July 4th and worked perfectly with our July bow from Little Poppy Co. and this ballet top from June and January. I didn't actually buy her a patriotic outfit of any sort this year, but I kind of love how this looked! ten months as of July 5, 2019 Height + Weight: We don't go back to the pediatrician until she's a year old, but I'm guessing not much has changed since last month. She's pretty close to twenty pounds and growing. Clothes: I look for ...
Polly’s Sixth Month Photo Session
I had big plans to have Polly photographed every three months of her first year, but we are far busier than I expected and that never happened. I did manage to invite my sister over on a Tuesday morning to snap a few photos of us before Polly's nap time and they totally make up for our lack of a three month session. These were taken about a week after she turned six months old and they perfectly capture what life was like for us then. A friend, who's also a local photographer and super mama and gives great breastfeeding advice, encouraged me to have my sister take some nursing photos for us. I'll keep most of those private, for obvious reasons, but these are a few of my favorites. She was right and I will forever me thankful that I have this little moment in time ...
Nine Months With Polly
Polly turned nine months old last Wednesday and we snuck in a visit to the pediatrician on Thursday morning. I was so worried we would have to wait until after our trip, but we managed to make it work. It is so hard to believe that her next visit will be after she's a year old?! nine months as of June 5, 2019 Height + Weight: Josh and I were placing bets on what we thought she would weigh at this visit. There's been some family debate about whether or not she's bigger than her cousin, Evie (10 months), and SHE IS! Polly weighed 19 lbs, 3 oz and was 27.5 inches long. Clothes: She is still wearing mostly 6-9 or 6-12 months, depending on the style, and a size 3 diaper. This swimsuit is a 6-12 months and it is snug. I'm glad we wore it for a few photos, but I'm not sure it's practical ...
Eight Months with Polly
Isn't weird how your child can seem virtually the same for months and then all of a sudden, they are this whole new person? That isn't just true with babies -- I've had this same revelation regarding Ella recently -- but I feel like Polly grew up so much in the last several weeks. I didn't even notice while it was happening, I just realized this weekend that so many of these prompts from last month are really different from our current situation. I guess that is exactly why I'm recording all of these details, even though I might be the only one who enjoys reading them! eight months as of May 5, 2019 Height + Weight: I’m not sure about Polly’s stats this month (and she won’t go back to the pediatrician until late June), but I would guess she's around 17 pounds or so. Clothes: This ...

The fact is, she's stinking adorable in a graphic tee and joggers and I need to document that normalcy, too. She actually wore this to school today and it has me itching to add a few more cute tees to her spring and summer wardrobe (paired with J&J circle skirts, anyone?!). Height + Weight: I'm not sure about Polly's stats this month and she won't go back to the pediatrician until late June. Clothes: Her clothes are mostly ...

You can read more about our affiliate relationships here. six months as of March 5, 2019 I'm a two full weeks late posting Polly's monthly update, but our life has been so full the last few weeks, that I'm struggling to stay on track! I kept her home from school yesterday and today, and despite how crummy she's feeling, Ella managed to make her smile long enough to snap a few photos to celebrate her half birthday. HOW are we half-way to a year already?! These baby days are ticking by faster than we could have imagined and we are doing everything we can to soak her up! Height + Weight: Polly had her six month checkup a few weeks ago and it's always so fun to ...
