Seriously... cutest face on the planet, or what? Sophie, How can you already be four months old? Has it really been a whole month since we spent our lazy days together? You have grown so much since then, both physically and in other ways. You haven't been back to the doctor yet, so I'm not sure how much you weigh, but it can't be more than 12 pounds. All the other mommies comment on how little you are. We think you are just right! You are getting SO long and when I hold you, your legs stretch halfway down my body. Your hands and feet are still so tiny, but boy are those cheeks plumping up. Now that you love laying on your belly and can hold your head up with the best of them, you are spending lots of time on the floor with your toys. You'll lay on your mat and play with your ...

Love Letters: Three Months
Sophie girl, This month brought lots of changes to our sweet little family of four. You learned to hold your head up like a pro, to sleep on your belly and to roll over. I learned how hard it is to spend my days away from you. It is amazing how fast three months fly by. I got used to living a fairytale life at home with my two little girls. We made waffles for breakfast, spent lazy mornings playing under the windows and long afternoons snoozing by the pool. We sang silly songs, made trips to the library and started taking baths in the big tub together with Ella. You took your first vacation to our favorite place in the world. It was there that you started sleeping through the night. It would seem that vacation agreed with you. We could tell you recognized us when we loved on you ...
Love Letters: Two Months
Sophie, Two months has come and gone. Fifty-six lazy mornings and fifty-six long nights. Many baths in the sink and too many diapers to comprehend. Hundreds of bottles and even more sweet snuggles. You have completed our lives in so many ways. Not only did we crave another spirit to love, but it has been so wonderful to see how much more we love your sister in these last eight weeks. She is so sweet to you and the wonder in her face when she looks at you is astonishing. You aren't the tiny little girl we brought home from the hospital; you are round and robust. Although still not in the double-digits, you are finally able to wear your pretty clothes. Your arms and legs are so long and lean, but dents and dimples and rings are beginning to appear. Your belly is so round and your face ...
Love Letters: One Month
Dear Sophie, Today you are one month old. The past four weeks have gone by so much quicker than I wanted them to. We snuggle you all day long, but I know I'll regret not holding you even more. Ella loves you so much and asks to hold you and care for you all day. She lays so close to you and looks at you with such love in her eyes. Your daddy and I beg you everyday to stop growing. You are still such a tiny girl, wearing only newborn clothes and diapers, some of which still swallow you whole. You have long fingers and toes and your arms and legs are still so skinny. Your brown hair is still long and fluffy and hasn't given any hint of curling or turning blonde. The only thing plump about you are your precious cheeks and little round belly. We couldn't have asked for a better ...
