While we took a ton of video during our trip, that doesn't mean I didn't capture plenty of photographs, too. Since you've already seen most of the important parts, I thought I would share a few (ahem, thirty seven) of my favorites from throughout our stay. This trip was a little different than previous years -- we worked hard to say YES to all requests from tiny humans (when safe and feasible, obvs) and to be more relaxed about what we tried to fit in. We went to less "fancy" restaurants and got takeout a ton. We avoided the outlet mall altogether, but we did spent a significant amount of time in the souvenir shops. We rode our bikes and climbed trees and played mini golf more than all previous trips combined and did our best to sooth a mopey Sophie, who suffered from a migraine for the ...

Currently in June + May by the Numbers
Planning: The photograph above, while wholly unflattering and obnoxious, is precisely what I have planned for the summer. I spent the weekend laying in a lounger next to my sister while the kids played for hours in the water. I love my parents pool just as much at 36 as I did when we were twelve. It is my favorite place to be once the weather warms up and Josh doesn't even ask about my weekend plans anymore. He did pop over and hang out with us quite a bit this past weekend and even grilled me an amazing burger on Monday, but he isn't interested in a ten hour pool day most weekends. (hat | swimsuit top | swimsuit bottoms | similar tee) Enjoying: The girls being out of school. It will probably take a few weeks for us to get into a groove with schedules and routine, but I'm loving hanging ...
April by the Numbers + 73 Questions
I didn't tell you this last week (because, dangerous), but Josh was out of town for nine consecutive days. NINE. He headed to New Orleans on a Thursday morning to spend some time with his best friend only to return home for twelve hours to sleep and pack before heading to Arizona for a week of work. I consider myself a capable woman and there is nothing I hate more than seeming needy and dependant, but taking care of the girls for that long during end-of-the-year madness is nothing short of miraculous. I managed to keep everyone alive and well-fed and even got the housework done hours before his plane landed, but we were exhausted and have spent the last week recovering and snuggling and catching up on all of the television we missed during his absence. We agreed that we both missed the ...
March by the Numbers
It's time for everybody's favorite numerical breakdown of all the things we did in March! I cannot believe how fast we plowed through this month, but given that I pretty much say that after every single one of them, I should probably just assume that life will continue to move at lightning speed whether I like it or not. I had so many things on my my "by the numbers post-it note" that I barely fit it all into my infographic! I'm also linking up with Anne in Residence, so keep on scrolling to find out what we're up to currently! Eating is still going very, very well. It's hard to believe I am already a quarter of the way through my year of whole foods, but it is getting easier every day. I shared an FAQ post last month that I think helps to explain where my head is right now. It gets ...
February by the Numbers
How is it March already? No really, we are already a week into March and I am starting to panic. The last nine weeks of 2016 have passed by in a blur and I'm not ready. Sure, I'm looking forward to daylight savings time, warmer weather and ALLTHESUNSHINE, but I am not ready for this year to get away from me yet. February was a fun one. We packed in so many fun events this month and I tried to be super intentional with how we spent our time. I am loving the longer days and can't wait to continue enjoying this beautiful weather together! We continued to rock out our healthy living challenge this month. There were a few unnecessary splurges, but I think the way we are planning and enjoying cheat meals is completely changing the way I think about food. I feel guilty when I stray from our plan ...
January By the Numbers
One of my favorite things to introduce on the blog last year was a monthly recap called "by the numbers." It included a miniature infographic covering all that took place throughout each month. Sure, some of the things you already knew, but others didn't warrant their own post and wound up there instead. There may be times this year when these are accompanied by photographs that didn't make the blog - or other tidbits of information you didn't already know - but sometimes they'll just hang out on their own. Either way, I'm excited to bring back our monthly infographics and attempt to get one on the blog every single month this year. There might even be a Free Bible Journaling Printable in it for those who make it all the way through this post. Who's with me?!We made our 9th annual trip to ...
Things I Learned in October
I know I haven't shared nearly as many of these monthly infographics this year as I had hoped to, but it is one of my favorite posts of the month when I can remember to squeeze it in. Now that Blogtember and Write 31 Days are over, I'm trying to get myself back in a regular routine and a monthly recap post filled with fun stats is certainly going to be a regular affair. Things I've learned this month: Loss is hard, even when it's "just" the family pet. I know I wrote a little bit about this earlier in the month, but we are still very much in the grieving process. There are days when I forget about her altogether and that just makes me feel guilty. There are other days when she's heavy on mind all day long and I just want to pull the covers over my head and pretend October didn't ...
July by the Numbers
It's my favorite day of the month -- the day when we recap ALLTHETHINGS in a fun infographic here on the blog! July was a slow and easy month, full of summer camps, swim days, grilled food and our favorite television shows. I didn't read nearly as many books as in previous months, but it's because we were being lazy <insert wide-eyed emoji here>. This next month is filled with school starting and dance classes and organization, so I'm guessing next month's recap will be decidedly different! Tune in the first Monday Tuesday of every month for our family infographic. ...
