accomplishing | More than I did the first quarter of this year. I'm not sure what prompted an entire quarter of laziness, but I managed to get it together [mostly] in March and I'm hoping to keep up the momentum. I finally sent our taxes off to the accountant, so that's good. On my list this week is tackling all the paperwork. I haven't established a good system since our move, nor have I figured out where I want everything to live. I'm trying to put some thoughts down on paper and establish a new rhythm before the year gets away from me. feeling | Determined. I know it's only been two weeks [eleven days, if we're getting technical] since I joined Orangetheory, but I already feel so much better. I'm sleeping like a champ, so much less bloated, and I'm able to get up easier each morning. ...

The Monthly Report | March
Let's skip right over the how is it March already? conversation and just dig right in, okay? This week has been rough. I've been tasked with a huge project at work and then have another pressing matter on my calendar for next week. I'm trying to squeeze two full time jobs into a single week and not lose every single brain cell I have left. I've been feeling overwhelmed and under-rested and can't wait for the weekend. Oh, wait... I'm working. Whomp whomp. watching | We have been on a serious movie kick here lately and have even convinced my parents to join us for a few late nights. Let's not discuss how we are able to view these movies in the comfort of our own home, okay? I loved Passengers so much -- fun and quirky and science-y all at the same time. The Accountant is SO smart and ...
The Monthly Report | February
My plan for today was to share the (very) few outfit snaps that I managed during the month of January and invite you to link up. You know what they say about plans, though, right? I just couldn't get that post drafted last night and we were celebrating Josh's birthday, packing last minute items and throwing one last load of laundry in the wash. Let's just flip flop our entire editorial calendar and take a look at our Monthly Report instead. Cool? Wardrobe Wednesday Thursday will be here bright and early tomorrow. Pinky swear! packing | This prompt seems too easy given our current status. How about we call this one packed instead? The girls got carry on luggage from Santa and we liked it so much that we asked him to send a few for the grownups in January. We were hoping to use ...
The Monthly Report | January
January?! What in the fresh heck? After thirteen days of pajamas, movie marathons and breakfasts made to order, we're finally sticking our heads out of the fog and joining the real world again. As I type this, the laundry is all caught up, the girls are already tucked into bed and we have everything laid out and ready for tomorrow. As much as I dread putting actual pants on tomorrow, I'm looking forward to curling my hair and feeling like a human again. I've been trying to work on a new schedule for the blog and decide what posts to keep and which ones aren't as effective. I have a tendency to share multiple monthly recaps but there just isn't a way to consolidate all of that into a single post. I'm excited to add some monthly goals and a progress report into this post each month, but ...
Currently in December | Monthly Infographic
December is one of my favorite months of the entire year. There is so much to see and enjoy and reflect on and let's face it -- the twinkle lights don't hurt! I'm currently sitting in my dark dining room at 4:34, surrounding by glittering trees and yet-to-be-wrapped gifts and sipping coffee from my new favorite mug. Doesn't that sound amazing? No matter how busy we are and how stretched thin we could be, the magic of the season settles over everything and makes every mundane task seem worthwhile. I am so looking forward to spending two weeks at home with my girls and soaking up all that this season has to offer. We're still only a few days into the month, but let's chat about what's going on so far, okay? doing | Maybe I've covered that already. I'm trying not to do too many extra things ...
Currently in November | Monthly Infographic
So, it's November. Since I spent most of October packing and preparing to move, it both flew by and dragged on in equal measure. I don't have much to show for the month other than a full storage pod and a new house, but we did manage to fill it full with wonderful memories in the process. Before we recap all that has happened over the last month (again), how about we quickly cover how we're already digging into November? discovering | Moving into my childhood home is bringing all sorts of discovery. I'm discovering that my parents could hear every stomp up the stairs, every late night giggle and every squeak of my bedroom floor. Josh and I are discovering what it's like to have two sinks in our bathroom, three bathrooms in our house (insert ALL the praise hands here), and twenty-six ...
Currently in October | Monthly Infographic
I can't even believe that it's already October. No, really... how did that happen? My mom used to tell me that days would blaze by once I was an adult, but I don't think I ever fully appreciated that until now. I feel like before I can really get settled into a month, another one is already knocking me over. September was kind of a crazy month. We had so many things packed in -- Josh was traveling some, I attended a two-day conference at my church, and I got sick twice. Yep, I conquered both a stomach virus and a reaction to flu shot, but lived to tell about them both. Before I recap September, let's chat about what the first few days of October held. Ready? cheers-ing | I can't decide if I should share victories for this prompt or if you're asking what's in my glass. Perhaps both of ...
Five on Friday 007
I wondered if I would have enough to share in a round up post today, given that we just had a coffee date on Monday, but we managed to pack a lot into this week! 001 | July by the Numbers I guess before we move on to August, we need to talk about July, right? Although I didn't read many books last month, everything else crept into the double digits. Josh was gone almost the entire month, we watched WAY too much television and several fun adventures at some sophisticated places (insert a big fat winky face here). We had a great time serving at our church, the kids loved camp and Ella got her first major haircut in six years. SIX YEARS. She looks so grown up with short hair and we're just now starting to figure out how to fix it. July might have been exhausting, but it was full of really ...
