On Friday, we went to the Homecoming game at my high school alma mater. Did I mention it was raining? We were going early for the Homecoming festivities because three of my cousins were on the court and one was a nominee for Queen. It was pouring down rain, so we went ahead armed with a beach towel, three cushions and two umbrellas. Unfortunately, we needed them all. Jessica did win Homecoming Queen and she, Kalli and Chaney all looked beautiful. It did rain a little on them while they were on the field, but it in no way diminished their beauty! Ella and I decided to brave the line and head to the concession stand for some cheese fries and gatorade. It was a HUGE mistake. Despite how unmistakably adorable we look in that photo {wink, wink} we were a mess after this adventure. We ...

It’s That Time Again
Last night was our first college football game of the season. As usual, we went to Nana's for an opening game party. There were lots of people there, but Ella managed to be only one of a few kids there. She stole the show and looked adorable in her new seersucker game day dress and managed to stay up throughout the game {after 11!} and slept it off on the way home. We had a great time and ate WAY too much! ...
Highschool Football
We made another trip across the street for the high school game this weekend and had a great time. There is nothing like sitting outside to the soundtrack of high school football, eating cheese fries and watching your little cheerleader bounce around. We were having such a good time that I didn't take many pictures, but these two were my favorites. ...
Roll Tide Finale
If you know anything about me, you'd know that I don't really care one way or another for football. BUT, since sweet daddy is a huge fan, we try to let him handle the remote control on nights like this. So in honor of him, we're all donning our Bama gear, yelling Roll Tide and shaking our pom-poms. It is a rare moment in history that our sweet little blog is devoted to football. ...
Alabama Day
Let me start by saying that I'm not a football fan and never really have been. I know that is sacrilegious in this state, but I can usually be found chasing a two-year old or reading a magazine during said game. For the sake of my husband, I try to participate... wear a red shirt on Saturdays, accompany him to whatever venue the game will be viewed, being proud for him over a win and sad for a loss. Then there was this year. I have thoroughly enjoyed this season for Alabama, if for no other reason that the pure joy it brings my husband. The fact that Ella stinkin' LOVES to wear her Ah-bama dress is just icing on the cake. Today we had lots going on before and after the game and it was such a good day. When she realized this morning that she and daddy were both wearing Alabama shirts ...
Sweet as sugar
In an unexpected blessing, Heath dropped by a couple of hours ago to see if Ella wanted to go to the junior-high football game for a little while. Um, yes! That was her talking (okay, and me!). She came back looking like this. Sweet. ...
Friday Fun
How sweet is this? They fell asleep together on the couch watching John & Kate Plus 8. Here are a few pictures of yesterday's finds: a sweet Bailey Brothers dress I bought on consignment and an assortment of printed cotton for fall's favorite, ruffle bottom pants. Yum! Happy Weekend! ...
Before and After
Remember that sweet dog I blogged about this morning? Well this is what she did while I was at work. GGGRRRR! This dress is new. Nana bought it. I am so furious! Here are pictures of the only two times Ella ever wore it. So long, farewell. You'll be missed. ...
