Well, I'm pretty sure that I'll be the very last person linking up for 5 on Friday this week. After a crazy few weeks at work, I'm finally at home on a Friday night with nothing on the agenda but uploading some photos and writing a post or two. Josh took Ella across the street for the high-school football game, so Sophie and I are in our pajamas, enjoying Sofia the First and cold pizza. Doesn't that sound exciting? Here's what's been going on around here. 1. Family photos. I know I mentioned a few weeks ago that my talented sister snapped some photos of the grandkids for my mom. K posted the pictures earlier in the week and they are lovely. This might by my favorite family photo of all time! I think it's clear we're all a little crazy for Alabama football around here. I'm planning to use ...

5 on Friday | Week 40
Longest. Week. Ever. Last weekend was such a blur -- we went from event to event for three solid days. Even though it was filled with tons of great family time, there wasn't much time for napping involved. And let's be honest, naps are part of why I love the weekends! Josh is headed to Kentucky for the Bama game today (can you say jealous wife?!) and I'm envisioning lots of movies, laundry, football and napping on the horizon. Okay, enough of that, let's get on with 5 on Friday! 1. Scandal. I did it. I bit the bullet on Friday night and watched episode one. Taz fell asleep at the football game and I had a few hours to myself with nothing to do. I signed up for Netflix (Hulu only offers the current season?!) and by the time Josh got home from the game, I was on episode three. I'm almost ...
5 on Friday | Week 39
How excited are you that it's Friday?! We have some fun things planned for the weekend and I'm thrilled just to be home with my girls and Josh. Last weekend was crazy. I got home after midnight, two nights in a row and didn't get nearly enough family time. AND I still need to watch the first two episodes of Grey's Anatomy and convince Josh to sign up for Hulu so that I can watch Scandal! Okay, here's what we were up to this week. 1. You know all about the concert now, but what you don't know is that I rode down to Tuscaloosa on Saturday for the Alabama/Ole Miss game. Josh had taken the girls with him to a friend's house so I could get some housework done and then I was going to join them later in the afternoon to watch the game. They weren't gone ten minutes when my friend, Leila, called ...
5 on Friday | Week 37
1. iPhone updates. All day on Wednesday, my news feed was filled with complaints about the new operating system update. It took forever to download. It crashed. It's too slow. It looks like a kindergartener designed it. Well imagine my surprise yesterday morning when I woke up to a newly updated phone and I was in LOVE. I realize my design aesthetic might be different than everyone else's, but I think the new look is great! It's modern and more streamlined and I'm totally digging it. The fonts are beautiful, the color-scheme is lovely and the new functions are so intuitive and easy to use. Thoughts? 2. Survivor. I'll admit that we don't watch a whole of television at our house. The kids are obsessed with Disney and Josh watches a lot of sports, but we don't do sitcoms and it's rare ...
5 on Friday | Week 36
I've been reading -- and enjoying -- everyone else's 5 on Friday posts, so I figured it was high-time I joined in the fun. Why not, right? 1. Mumford & Sons. Need I say more? I had kind of gotten out of the concert circuit a bit, you know since I was a grown-up, responsible parent and all. Of course, I've seen my boyfriend (a.k.a. John Mayer) any time he's in the tri-state area, but that doesn't really count. I'm required to see him. It's a thing. Anyhoo, Josh is not a concert goer, but he is a HUGE Mumford fan. We bought tickets way back in the spring for the New Orleans show and were super, duper sad when it got rescheduled for September. Fast forward three months and they decided to come to our sleepy little town, so we sold the NOLA tickets and partied a little closer to home. The ...
