Homecoming in our tiny little town is always such fun. People share photos from high-school on Facebook all week. The marquees on the schools boast of activities. Our yard is full of cars every day because there is something going on at the high-school. The kids in our family always want to ride in the parade and I never get to see it. I don't get to take many Fridays off from work that aren't vacation or holiday related, but this year I decided to spend the day at home with my family. I somehow convinced Taz to bow out of the parade and watch downtown with me. After dropping Ella off at the parade line up, we walked the few blocks downtown from our house. In case you haven't figured it out yet, we live in a TINY town. This is downtown. We have exactly one traffic light, a mom and pop ...

Another Beach Post
Remember back in June when I blogged about our disastrous Father's Day experience? It seems that is as far as I ever got with the vacay recap, so here is a quick tour through our annual camping trip. There was a lot of DVD watching and iPod playing, plenty of beach sitting and ray catching, a few serious faces thrown around, lots of smiling and laughing, some white powdered donut breakfast-ing, some beach sleeping and ice cream cone eating, sunset watching and cousin talking. There was even some dancing and tank top wearing by these two, and lots of goofing off by these two. There was splash pad playing, and picture posing, daddy burying, and even some mommy burying, couple cheesing, and family loving. ...
Hudson Ray
Please join me and pray for my amazing sister, Kamin, and her husband, Cory, as they welcome their sweet baby boy to the world today. We are over-the-moon excited to meet him, he is already so loved and adored. MANY photos to come over the weekend, I'm sure, but you can watch the Insta-feed in the sidebar or follow along (@tazandbelly) to see live updates today! ...
Father’s Day: A Cautionary Tale
Don't get me wrong, there were a lot of really great days on our vacation last week. I do NOT regret going and the moments spent on the beach with my family were, as always, amazing. There is nothing like being in paradise with twenty of your favorite people. Amidst all of the good, however, were a few moments when I just wanted to bang my head against a wall. On Saturday night while traveling down, we blew a tire on our travel trailer. It was well after dark and we were precariously parked on the side of the interstate. After a failed attempt to call roadside service, my uncle caught up to us and helped Josh jack up the camper and change the tire. Sunday and Monday it rained. All day. The first day didn't bother me, because it's always nice to hang around camp and settle in. I read a ...
Insta Disney
To wrap things up I thought I'd share all of my Instagram images from our wonderful week in Disney. Yes, you may have seen most of these if you follow me on IG or on FB, but since it's been six whole months, I thought we could run through them again! This was honestly one of my FAVORITE trips of all time. The girls had a blast, Josh & I enjoyed every moment, the surprise factor was unmatched and nothing beats being in Disney World during the holiday season. Mark your calendars, friends, because we will be doing this again in the near future! ...
Walt Disney World | Day Six
Our last day at Disney World was kind of tragic, in all manner of ways. What a fitting ending to a wonderful vacation, right? The first characters we spotted on our way to the World Showcase in EC were Jasmine and Aladdin. They were so much fun and engaged us more than any other character except for Ariel. They were hilarious and Aladdin got really upset and corrected me when I referred to Jasmine as his girlfriend. Obviously, I forgot that they married! While waiting in line to meet them, my camera lens met a very unfortunate end. It was hanging on the back of the stroller (where it had been all week with no issue), when Tax threw herself onto the ground and the stroller fell backwards. Onto concrete. Where my camera lens took the brunt of the fall. The camera center in EC had no real ...
Walt Disney World | Day Five
Since MK is clearly the kiddos favorite, we spent a lot of time there. It was especially easy to spend a few hours there on the days we did EC and HS since those could be covered in a relatively short period of time. When Ella & Molly posed for the picture above, the Disney photographer didn't tell them what they were so excited about. They loved it when we pulled the photos up that night in our room! Since our first attempt with Ariel was such a disaster, we decided to try again. Sophie was still pretty timid at the beginning, but she eventually warmed up. They talked about Flounder and Sophie FINALLY sang for her. It was adorable and worth the five day wait. We also managed to catch Peter Pan on our way to Adventureland. Sophie would have nothing to do with him. The only man ...
Walt Disney World | Day Four
Our original plan for New Year's Day was for the girls to rest at the resort with Gran, while Josh, Poppy & I headed to Universal Studios for the day. We were all so exhausted by this point, however, that we opted to spend the day in our pajamas instead. We waited until after dinner to head into the parks for the day and decided a quick evening in Hollywood Studios was the perfect way to spend our time. We headed straight to the arena to watch Mickey's Fantasmic show. It is a laser light and water show that is so much fun! The amphitheater is huge and the girls loved it! Josh & I enjoyed the Christmas lights so much the night before, that we decided it was a must see for the rest of our family, too. There is so much to look at, the lights are choreographed to "dance" with ...
