Despite the horrible weather, we did manage to squeeze in some yummy seafood and an afternoon at the beach. It was kind of misty outside and a little cooler than usual, but we soaked it up while we had the chance! It was beautiful, cloudy skies and all. This was Sophie's first experience with sand and she wasn't sure what to think! SD took Ella on a shell hunt. These are my other favorite sandy toes. I want y'all to know that I am MORTIFIED to be in a bathing suit on this blog. BUT, since I'm always the one behind the camera, I thought I would suck it up and take a picture with my pretty girls. I promise the next time I'm this exposed, I'll be skinny! Dinner with my girlies at Peg Leg Pete's. Isabella didn't want to wear her eye-patch, so Ella wore it for ...

Photo Update
Other than celebrating my anniversary {all by myself} and missing our Sweet Daddy while he traveled for work, we haven't been doing too much around here. We cleaned the house, designed some new stationary and party invitations, snuggled with Garan, and tried out every "baby-occupier" we had in the house! Despite a rough start to my day, its been the best one all week. I had a light day at work, yummy lunch at Panera with my bestie, retail therapy that someone else paid for {thanks, Nana}, sleeping babies, yummy crock-pot tacos and the arrival of SD in less than thirty minutes! ...
Table Manners
On Sunday, we celebrated Nana's birthday by eating lunch together after church. We had a huge table full of kids and grandkids and lots of fun. Our kids were really well behaved, but acted like the preschooler's they are. They moved around a little, dropped some crayons and all had to potty at least once. Alston managed to break away once and attempted to sit with another family... it was pretty funny! A few minutes into lunch another booth near us filled up. Two of the occupants appeared to be grandmother and grandson. He was crying when they got there and his behavior only got worse. He bucked and wiggled and screamed at the top of his lungs. Once when I was in the bathroom changing Sophie, she brought him into a stall and attempted to calm him down. I'm guessing you know by now that ...
American Beauties
I'm starting to realize that Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays. Not only do I love honoring the sacrifices made for freedom, but I love the tradition, the colors and the time spent with family. We almost always have a poolside picnic on the fourth of July and this year was no different. We got started a little later in the day since it fell on a Sunday, but we more than made up for it on Friday, Saturday and Monday. Closer to dark, we loaded up picnic number two {fast food this time} and headed downtown for Thunder on the Mountain, our local fireworks show. Garan, Poppy & Jared joined us this year and we had just as much fun as last year. The boys threw the football until dark, Ella and Sophie got plenty of attention and K & I took lots of pictures. Pictures ...

Water Babies
I'm sure everyone is tired of seeing my sun-kissed girls floating in the water and snuggling in their towels, but we have at least two more months of lazy afternoons by the pool, so sit back, relax and enjoy. ...
Zoo "Aminals"
Ella and I have been talking about visiting the zoo "aminals" all summer long. Finally, this week our schedules and the weather seemed to cooperate and we loaded up for a day of fun. Gran went with me to help wrangle the girlies since I had Ella, Molly & Sophie all to myself. The girls were so much fun to watch and they had a great time. And just in case you wondered what Sophie was up to on her first visit to the zoo, she slept the entire time we were there. She only opened her eyes at our little picnic! ...
