I knew I wanted something pretty special to hang on the hospital door when sweet Sophie got here, but I wasn't sure what. Ella had a wooden plaque with her name on it that my dad made and it was beautiful. The problem was, it was loud! Every time a nurse came to visit at two o'clock in the morning, the plaque wiggled around on the door and woke us ALL up. Ella has a rag wreath on the door of her room that I made last year and I really love it. I decided to do a similar wreath for Sophie's room and we'd use it for the hospital, too. It turned out perfect and appears to be silent when opening and closing the nursery door. Price Alston Scott… and other things
Today our sweet friends Patrick & Beth Scott welcomed their precious baby boy, Alston. He was born around 1:30 this morning, weighing 7 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. He is absolutely adorable... he looks like his daddy, but has his mommy's pretty hair and complexion. We got the chance to visit them this evening and had such a good time snuggling up; even Ella got to "hold" him. Click on the picture above to view all of the photos from our visit. Today... Ella had to go to the doctor. My mom & I took the day off and spent it with her, together. We went to Hancock Fabrics, The Smocking Bird, The Korduroy Krocodile and of course... Wal-Mart. Ella got lots of pretty things and some beautiful fabric for a few things to come. The doctor's appointment was a nightmare. ...
