In an unexpected blessing, Heath dropped by a couple of hours ago to see if Ella wanted to go to the junior-high football game for a little while. Um, yes! That was her talking (okay, and me!). She came back looking like this. Sweet. ...

Ella and Magnolias
This picture makes me want to devour her with a spoon. She wanted to play outside today and since I needed to work for a little while when we got home, I obliged. We played on the swing set, said hello to the neighbors dogs and played in the Magnolia trees. She loved standing on the branches. And did you see those precious shoes? Wal-Mart, my friends. Eight bucks! ...
Just a swingin’
For those of you who know anything about my child, you'll know this is a huge accomplishment. Up until this weekend, Ella was terrified of swinging. It didn't matter how close to the ground she was, how slow she was going or high tightly we held onto her. She is a fraidy-cat and was having nothing to do with swinging. Until Saturday. She had been playing with Molly & Karson at Heather's house, so I ran to Subway to grab us all a bite to eat. When I pulled into the drive, she and Molly were swinging and she was squealing with delight! Sunday afternoon she wanted to show her sweet daddy how she could swing, so we took it for a spin. The first thing out of her mouth was, "I'm so big now!" I officially have the cutest kid. ...
Our friend Bunny
So many of you have asked in the comments about our sweet bunny -- what is her name, where did we get her, does Ella really carry her around all the time. I've been thinking for awhile now that I needed to share Bunny's story and post pictures of her in lots of funny places! Bunny was given to Ella by her Auntie K for her first Easter. It was a sweet, very inexpensive gift that we put in Ella's room, but she paid little attention to. Sometime in late May she played with it all day and ended up taking it to bed with her. Since she had been carrying it around for a few days, we let her carry it to church the following Sunday morning. She was 8 months old, so it was easy to tell when she liked or disliked something. When I opened her car door at church, the bunny fell into the road, into a ...
Friday Fun
How sweet is this? They fell asleep together on the couch watching John & Kate Plus 8. Here are a few pictures of yesterday's finds: a sweet Bailey Brothers dress I bought on consignment and an assortment of printed cotton for fall's favorite, ruffle bottom pants. Yum! Happy Weekend! ...
Price Alston Scott… and other things
Today our sweet friends Patrick & Beth Scott welcomed their precious baby boy, Alston. He was born around 1:30 this morning, weighing 7 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. He is absolutely adorable... he looks like his daddy, but has his mommy's pretty hair and complexion. We got the chance to visit them this evening and had such a good time snuggling up; even Ella got to "hold" him. Click on the picture above to view all of the photos from our visit. Today... Ella had to go to the doctor. My mom & I took the day off and spent it with her, together. We went to Hancock Fabrics, The Smocking Bird, The Korduroy Krocodile and of course... Wal-Mart. Ella got lots of pretty things and some beautiful fabric for a few things to come. The doctor's appointment was a nightmare. ...
Happy Fall Y’all!
Let me first say, hello! I missed you yesterday... I think it was the first day since I started this blog that I didn't post. We didn't have much to talk about at our house and it was our sweet daddy's last evening at home before heading out of town for the week, so we spent some much needed family time last night. A few sweet Ella things... this morning while putting her in the car seat she told me that I need to go to the "man village." If you've been following this blog you understand she is obsessed with the Jungle Book. How weird is that... the man village? Then as we were pulling out of the driveway in the dark, she spotted the sunrise and said, "Look mommy, it's a rainbow!" How adorable is that? I explained that the sun was "waking up" and it was a sunrise, but I kind of like the ...
