little lambs in ella's window {aunt vera, 3 from granmom & pop, her little people farm} My favorite words -- withbout, aminals, cimmanon, breakpast As she was reading her bible one evening she said, "... and Jesus was all alone in Jesus-land." She talks about dying and going to Heaven a lot. Although the topic of death is a bit morbid, I love hearing her talk about living with Jesus forever. She has decided that maybe he'll call us all home together so none of our family will be left behind. She did tell me that if she got there first she would not be waiting around on me - Jesus would be throwing her a party and she couldn't wait until I got there to go! She also told us she didn't want to eat only fish when we got to heaven; she was sad that she couldn't eat macaroni and ...

Boo Boo Boo at the Zoo
On Sunday afternoon, we decided to carry these two little Halloween-lovers to our local zoo for the annual Boo at the Zoo event. Despite what our daddy says, it did not disappoint. Just in case there is any question, Ella is Olivia the Pig for Halloween and Sophie is a pumpkin. Due to some unseasonably warm weather, Sophie skipped out on her costume, with the exception of her 'boggin. Hopefully, come Sunday the weather will be cool enough for some fuzzy knits! Sophie had the pleasure of hanging out in the carrier for most of the night and it was a life-saver. I was not looking forward to navigating a crowded zoo with a stroller and we all know that carrying a baby for hours while waiting in line is not a fun time for ANYBODY. We were smart enough this year to head straight for ...
Fall Festival
After another day of rest, a shot to the fanny, a z-pack and some fancy cough syrup - I was starting to feel much better. I woke up late Thursday afternoon and felt great, but the combination of medicines and an empty stomach was making me feel dizzy and very loopy. There was a fall festival at my mom's Elementary School and Ella has been begging to go for weeks. Since I should have been at work, mom was planning to take the girls and then meet me for Ella's dance class afterward. Instead, she picked me up {since I was too impaired to drive!!} and I followed them around for an hour or so. Let me just say that by the time we got home I was worn out and ready for another nap. Waiting in line to buy our armbands Hanging out with our friends, Kaitlyn and Madeline Connor and ...
It’s Nursery Day
For those of you who visit us often, you've seen photos of the girls' rooms numerous times. Today, Kelly is hosting "Show Us Your Room: Nursery/Children's Rooms Edition" and I'm joining in! I loved seeing everyone's rooms last summer and can't wait to see all of the new rooms linking up to this blog party. Click here to visit other beautiful nurseries and little bitty rooms. First, an introduction. These are my two pretty girls - Ella is four and Sophie is six months old. Our daddy is a bit overwhelmed with the estrogen and excessive pink around our house these days, but we sure are enjoying every little bit! Sophie and Ella have rooms that are connected, so we have decorated them in coordinating color schemes. It's so sweet because when the door is opened between them, it's like ...
Toesy Woesies
Am I the only one who comes home to a little girl that says, "Mom, let's do something fun tonight!" I don't feel very fun after 10 hours of commuting and working, talking on the phone, answering emails and solving problems. I love my job, but being busy for that many hours just sucks the fun right out of me! Ella's idea of fun is going somewhere, buying something, visiting somebody. All the things that I'm not in the mood for when I get home. Tonight she wanted to do something fun and lucky for me, pink and purple polish did the job. Especially when it involved the tiny toes of this little bit. That's right... to satisfy the fun-cravings of my oldest, not only did I let her alternate "dark" colors on her toes, but I let her convince me to paint the toes on this little sprite. I must ...
Highschool Flashback
This weekend was a bit of deja vu`- some friends on Facebook have been planning hard for a long time and we all came together for an Alumni Reunion on Friday night for the Homecoming game at our Alma Mater. Since we live across the street from the school, it is pretty easy to go to the games on Friday nights and even easier when dinner is included! We gussied the girls up in their hounds-tooth and modified it slightly to reflect our black and gold. We even wore cute name tags with the year we graduated... just in case anybody needed a reminder! Since tailgating fell right around Sophie's evening nap, I spent most of the time doing this. She was out pretty soon after we got there and Sue was sweet enough to donate a chair to our cause. She slept as long as I sat like this and it was just ...
Prettiest. Girls. Ever
Remember on Ella's birthday when we had a photoshoot with K? Our Nana has been wanting pictures of all of her girls for months and after a few rain checks we finally got it together. These were my two favorites. How adorable are Ella & Bella laughing at one another? I cannot get enough! Click here to see the rest. ...
Let’s Party!
This is my sweet birthday girl. Four years old. I have been waiting with bated breath for these pretty photographs and they did not disappoint. I simply cannot wait to frame the cupcake one for her bedroom. I want to forever remember her as she was this moment. She is the sweetest, most precocious child I have ever met. Her smile lights up the room and she puts on quite the show. As most of you already know, she requested an Olivia birthday party this year. For those of you unfamiliar, Olivia is one of our favorite storybook characters who just happens to have a new show on Nick Jr. She's a pretty cute little pig with a mind of her own and we read about her and watch her on a daily basis. While I'm not really a fan of "character" parties or themed anything, I knew Olivia's red and white ...
