Last weekend, Josh & I took Molly & Ella to the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus. Nana & Cookie treat us to front row seats for Christmas every year and we look forward to it over the holidays. Ella has been asking about it since Christmas Eve! This year, our tickets were at the end of the arena, directly across from the performers' entrance. It was such a neat perspective from which to watch the animals and clowns come into the show. This was a funny age for Ella - she was extremely excited to be there, but she thought it was way too long. I don't remember her caring about that last year, so I'll be interested to see how next year goes. We did make the decision never to go in the evening again - it made for a really late night! Slumber Weekend
Molly spent the weekend with us and to help stave off boredom we took them to the Birmingham Zoo. It was a surprise and they were too excited! While we were looking at the white tiger we kept hearing something roar. We laughed about how scary that would sound after dark. We walked around the corner and a male and female lion were laying around in the sun roaring at eat other. They were HUGE. Feeding ...
Zing Zang Zoom
As if the fancy breakfast wasn't enough, we enjoyed an evening at the circus for Josh's birthday. And not just any circus, The Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus, the Greatest Show on Earth. And not only did we go to this fabulous circus, thanks to Nana & Cookie we were on the front row! We went early this year to check out the pre-show and had lots of fun. We didn't realize we should get there super early, so we had to wait in line and didn't have the best vantage point for the pre-show, but it was lots of fun. We saw a magic show up close, we saw clowns and men on stilts and even got up close and personal with a baby elephant, Asia. Our seats were fabulous and we could see so great! Some of the acts were even right in front of us. You'll be able to see from the photos ...
