Last night was the big night and Ella did so well! I left in plenty of time, got there super early and had plenty of time to get her dressed. I took tons of pictures in the tap outfit tonight since I didn't manage to get any last week. I thought she would be nervous about the crowd, but she was so excited when I told her who all was coming to watch her dance. I got out in the theatre just in time to see the opening numbers and Ella's group was on early in the show for their tap routine. Mommy's have to make a mad dash to the dressing room to get them ready for their next number and I managed to greet her just as she came off-stage. She said, "Did you see me? Did I do a great job? Did you cheer for me? Is Nana here?" When I told her how great she did, she replied, "Well, lets get my next ...

Dancy Pants
After ten months of practice, Ella's first year of dance is finally coming to an end. Yesterday afternoon, we made the drive into town for dress rehearsal. We were already running late, traffic was horrible, we had to hit a drive-thru for lunch and Ella got carsick on the way there. To say it was stressful, is putting it VERY mildly. Thank goodness we left Sophie at home! We made it just in time to get her all dolled up and on-stage for her tap routine, but I didn't get to take any pictures of her in costume. I made up for it before the ballet routine, though. The girls had so much fun in the dressing room getting fancy and hanging out with their friends until time to line up. K went with me to take pictures of them on-stage so that I could videotape their performance {there are no ...

Tiny Dancer
Thursday night was Ella's last ballet class of the year. Parents and Grandparents got to come in and watch and we all brought Christmas goodies for a holiday party before the Christmas break. You can see in the photo above that Ella lost one of her ballet shoes and we were forced to wear our Sunday shoes instead! Luckily, her Easter shoes still fit, we just swapped out the ribbons for pretty pink ones and nobody seemed to notice. The girls were excited to have us there and it was so funny to watch them dance. They did two Christmas routines and a dance to the Mickey Mouse Club song. Some kids were really free spirited and danced all around. Ella was very focused and checked her feet a hundred times to make sure she was standing in her spot! I think she's really worried about minding ...
Two Ballerinas
Today, Ella was a trooper. Me, Ashley and Beth set out at seven o'clock this morning in search of a consignment sale far away. The two little babies stayed home, but Ella was in tow. She didn't want to play golf with daddy and she didn't want to stay at home. I got her several cute outfits, which I'll share later in the week in a fashion post. The one thing she picked out was a pair of ballerina pajamas. They were in great shape and at $5, it was an easy sale. Then, as if that weren't enough shopping, we picked up Alston and Ava Reese and headed to town. We went to Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Tuesday Morning, Ross, Hancock Fabric and Home Goods. I didn't buy much except for birthday party accessories, but in Homegoods Ella found another little prize. She had been such a good girl today, I ...
