57/365: Last Monday was so much fun! My sister & her husband finally found out they they are having a sweet boy (Hudson Ray - who SK refers to as "husband") and we had a wonderful party to celebrate. How adorable is that cake her friend made for the reveal? 58/365: Sweet Emry Kate finally came home from the hospital on Monday afternoon, so I ran dinner over to Ryan and her family after work on Tuesday. Even though I had seen Emry in the hospital, this was the first time I got to get my hands on her. What a cutie! 59/365: I had a referral credit in my Stitch Fix account on Wednesday morning when I woke up and even though $25 won't go very far, I was SUPER excited. Yay for free clothes. 60/365: At dance class on Thursday, Ella got her jazz costume for their competition later this ...

Dailies / Week 8
50/365: I know it's a bit of a cop-out, but my "photo" on Monday was a screenshot of my official race finish. 51/365: Tuesday wasn't much better, since I shared this image of me crossing the finish line on Sunday, too. I was just a little excited about all things race-related this week! 52/365: On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of hanging out at the hospital for lunch and a long visit with my best friend Ryan. For the first time, she had a baby without me and it was WEIRD! Emry Kate was born on Monday and has been in the NICU this week, but she is doing great. I might not have gotten to touch her, but I did get to watch her sleep for a really long time and it was the perfect way to spend my lunch break. 53/365: An author came to speak at Ella's school last week and she's been talking ...
Dailies / Week 6
36/365: I ran 4.5 miles at lunch on Tuesday and even though it was gloomy outside, I really needed to stretch my legs. I was almost half-way through the run when it started sprinkling outside and before I knew it the skies had opened up and I was running in a flood. I was 20 blocks from my office and already soaked, so I just kept on running and actually enjoyed myself. It was about 50* out there and I just laughed the whole way back. I got lots of strange looks and plenty of smiles - I was clearly the only crazy person running in the rain! The good news? I ran MUCH faster than my norm and was super impressed with myself. In case I haven't said it enough, I love the RunKeeper app to track my runs and measure distance and pace. You should try it out and be my friend. 37/365: We had ...
Dailies / Week 5
29/365: Just another lunch-time run. This time, I ran the opposite of my normal route which made for a few changes in scenery. I also did a few laps at Railroad Park (where I had never been before) and it was beautiful! I can't wait for the new baseball stadium to open there. Such a fun, new area of town. 30/365: I had my usual Wednesday evening dinner, only this time I was alone. I grabbed pasta at Nothing but Noodles and dug in to Jen Hatmaker's "Interrupted". Y'all, this book is killing me! 31/365: Thursday was our Sweet Daddy's birthday! As always, my mom cooked what we call "Family Night Dinner" and we had brownies and ice cream for dessert. Ella had been home from school with a stomach virus that day, but was finally feeling like getting out of the house. 32/365: Unfortunately, ...
Dailies / Week 4
22/365: I didn't cook dinner that night, so everyone fended for themselves. I pretended I was six and had goldfish with my sandwich and a few sharp cheddar cheese slices. Yum! 23/365: On Wednesday, my sweet husband drove 45 minutes and had lunch with me which NEVER happens (there was an ulterior motive, but I can't complain). We had BBQ at Saw's in Homewood and I stuffed myself. I had so much more food than he did and I ate EVERY. SINGLE. BITE. I am not that girly girl that orders a salad. 24/365: Thursday was Ella's 100th day of school and she had to dress like a hundred year old woman. She was so adorable and excited to head out the door! 25/365: On Friday I ordered this super cute top for my half-marathon next month. I've been debating what to wear and it was pretty much a done deal ...
Dailies / Week 3
15/365: Ella wrote me this note when I stopped to pick her up from school. She entered a challenge with her teacher not to talk for 100 hours (student prompted, mind you). She made it 24 hours, which is a HUGE achievement for her. I also cooked up my first batch of homemade chicken noodle soup and it was YUMMY. 16/365: On Wednesday, I did my standard 5 mile run downtown. Only this week it jus happened to be 40 degrees and raining. It was probably my best time for a 5 miler yet, but I did some crazy looks and comments because of the weather. 17/365: Thursday it snowed. I already told you how that went. Boo. 18/365: Sophie begged me to sponge-roll her hair before bed on Thursday night; how could I resist? She looked beyond adorable for school on Friday morning. 19/365: Saturday's ...
Dailies / Week 2
8/365: Tuesday night was a disaster. I know I should probably clean out my pantry and refrigerator BEFORE I grocery shop, but you know what they say about the best laid plans. Instead, my kitchen is always a mess on grocery night. Usually, I do that on Monday nights, but the BCS game kind of trumped good food this week. We are on an "eat at home/stay away from fast food" kick, so the pantry was cleaned out and we made an inventory of the food we have at home to help us plan meals better. 9/365: Don't judge, but rules or not, I eat out for dinner on Wednesday nights before Bible study. I met K and Beth after work at Jason's deli and we pigged out on their salad bar. I swear those are the best bell peppers on the planet! 10/365: I caught little bit doing P90x with her daddy. She was a ...
Dailies / Week 1
So, it's seven days into 2013 and I'm finally making waves on the interwebs again. The last three weeks have been insane and let's face it, I was a terrible blogger last year. Because of our fabulous Christmas surprise, I haven't yet posted our 2012 recap or even begun to think about sharing how our Christmas went down. Let's just say it's going to be a Merry January around here! There are about a hundred photos from our Christmas celebrations to edit and upload and closer to a thousand from the happiest place on earth. It looks like I'm going to be a busy blogger this month. One thing I did love about 2012 was posting weekly snapshots via Instagram. Although this steals my thunder a little and gives you previews of full posts to come, I have really enjoyed going back through and seeing ...
