Does it get much sweeter than this? Okay, it does. Below. Look at those cheeks! And those eyes! Oh, and did I mention the princess holding him?! Tonight our great friends Beth & Patrick came by for dinner to celebrate Christmas before life gets hectic and they head out of town. We were so excited to spend several hours visiting with them and snuggling up with that sweet baby boy. He was a dream and let us all hold him, even Ella. We managed to get a few snaps in of the two of them and boy am I impressed when Ella smiles on cue for the camera. I think she's too afraid of being bad at this point... Christmas only being two days away and all. Below is a random picture from last night that I find hilarious. Two girls, wearing polka-dotsies and pony tails, snuggling on the couch ...
daddy
Welcome back
Okay, so I know I said I was going to be a better blogger, but the night after that I worked until 9:30 and I'm wrapping up Christmas orders this week, not to mention trying to finish getting my own Christmas cards ordered and presents wrapped and under the tree! I wanted to share these pictures because they make me laugh so hard. I know that some of you are under the impression (wrong as it is) that I live with a very quiet, mild-mannered sort of man. Despite the fact that he puts on a good act, he is really silly and a LOT of fun. In case you didn't notice, he's been growing a beard since late September because he was Jesus/shepherd in our Christmas play this year. Thursday was the last night and he'd been telling me all week that he was coming straight home to shave it. Well, he ...
Too much information?
Okay... so one day last night I repainted a cute little dresser for another room in our house because I'm trying to make room for our Christmas tree (we have to decorate really early this year). What appears to be two smaller drawers at the top is really a fold-down desk. The best part about this desk is that I painted the inside shiny gold and I got it for $50 at a yard sale! Anyway, for the funny part. Sunday morning we were getting ready for church and I walked into our bathroom to find this scene! See, I put the dresser on the wall across from the toilet and my husband found a new way to "occupy his time." I haven't cleaned the dresser out yet and it was full of cards and games. The best part is that I was so worried he'd complain about this big piece of furniture in our ...
Parental Advisory :)
I'll let you guess where I found this little vignette over the weekend... I'll post a follow-up photo to clue you in. If you want to continue living in ignorance of our family secrets, don't come back! ...
Daddy, come home
Dear "my Daddy", We really miss you, please come home. We miss how you are snuggled in the bed with Beemer when we leave in the mornings. And how you don't get mad when we wake you up to say, "I love you. See you this af'ernoon." We miss how you play hide and go seek. And beauty shop. And how you don't cry when we're really rough with your hair. We miss how you feed us dinner and get us out of the highchair {even though while you've been gone we started eating in the booster chair}. We miss how you buckle us in and out of our car seat. We miss cutting grass with you. We miss how you give us pretty pink manicures every Friday night. We miss snuggle time and John & Kate. We miss 1, 2, cha cha cha. We miss and love you VERY MUCH!!! Love, Ella {and Mommy... and ...
