The response to our camper makeover has been so wonderful and we have loved sharing all of the details with you over the last few weeks. I'm already itching to renovate another one, so I'll keep you posted on whether or not I can convince Josh to spring for a tiny vintage number. How cute would that be as an office?! In the meantime, I wanted to share a post full of tips and tricks we use to pack our camper and ways to make it the most functional for us. I'm fully convinced that the people who design campers (and decorate them!) have never actually stayed in one for any length of time. There ...

Meet Opal | Bunkhouse Transformation
Disclosure: Affiliate links appear in this post. Any purchases made using these links will earn Taz + Belly a small commission. You can read more about our affiliate relationships here. Sorry that this post is so late to arrive on the blog -- we don't have Wi-Fi at the campgrounds (yet!) and our hotspot ran out of data about three links shy of having this post finished on Thursday. We're home from the beach, but still living vicariously through photos, so we'll head back into the camper for a few more posts! I hope you guys are loving the camper transformation posts, because today is the last day! We're talking all about the girls' bunkroom and how we made it a happy, colorful space. To help familiarize you with each space as we talk about it, I’m including an image of our floor ...
Meet Opal | Bathroom Transformation
Disclosure: Affiliate links appear in this post. Any purchases made using these links will earn Taz + Belly a small commission. You can read more about our affiliate relationships here. It's time for the bathroom portion of our camper tour. I know it's weird, but this tiny space is one of my very favorites in the entire camper! To help familiarize you with each space as we talk about it, I’ll include an image of our floor plan in each post. The pink area below is the bathroom, just at the end of the kitchen on your left. Here's where it gets tricky. Before photos are very difficult because the space is so small. In fact, the part of the bathroom I most want to show you is directly across from the toilet, but it was near impossible to get a wide enough shot to fully ...
Meet Opal | Living + Dining Transformation
Disclosure: Affiliate links appear in this post. Any purchases made using these links will earn Taz + Belly a small commission. You can read more about our affiliate relationships here. Next up on our camper tour is the living and dining area. These areas make up the bulk of our camper and are all open to the other rooms. To help familiarize you with each space as we talk about it, I’ll include an image of our floor plan in each post -- we're talking about the pink areas below. Just like the previous posts in this series, let's start things off with a few before photos. This is probably the photograph that gives you the best idea of the space we're working with. I'm standing with my back to the master bedroom and the camper entrance is directly to my left. The bathroom door ...
Meet Opal | Kitchen Transformation

The next stop on our camper tour is the kitchen. Much like with the bedroom yesterday, I get a kick out of pretending this is a room of its own. It was finished long before the living and dining areas and I had it completely decorated while paint and sawdust were flying on the other side of the room. I couldn't help myself -- seeing each space finished was a huge motivation to keep it going. To help familiarize you with each space as we talk about it, I’ll include an image of our floor plan in each post. The kitchen is the pink space at the front of the camper. When you first walk in the door, it is ...
Meet Opal | Master Bedroom Transformation with Walls Need Love
Disclosure: Affiliate links appear in this post. Any purchases made using these links will earn Taz + Belly a small commission. You can read more about our affiliate relationships here. Our first stop on the camper tour is our master bedroom. I laugh every time I write that because we're talking about a space barely big enough to hold a queen sized bed, but since it has an actual door and some privacy in an otherwise open area, we're going to go with it! To help familiarize you with each space as we talk about it, I'll include an image of our floor plan in each post. The master is the pink room, all the way to the right of the camper. The pocket doors are directly to the right when you walk up the steps. Let's start with a before photo, shall we? This is what our camper ...
Meet Opal | Our Final Camper Transformation
It's hard to believe that our camper is actually finished and that we're actually camping in it right now. For those who might be new to the blog, we take a two week summer vacation every summer to our favorite beach and this little big metal box is where we stay. Let's get a few things out on the table right away. Yes, she's a fairly new camper (2007) and the facelift wasn't exactly necessary. No, she's not vintage, but that doesn't make her any less adorable. Yes, we pay for a camper the entire year just for a two week vacation in the summer. Yes, the payment and insurance for the full year is far less than you pay for your seven day condo visit. Pinky promise! I grew up camping in a tent, but Josh and I bought our first travel trailer several years after we married. It was tiny ...
Weekend Update | Camper Edition
I had big plans to share a Weekend Update post this morning, but I never could get it together. Like most of America, I stayed up way too late watching the Oscar's last night and then even later scrolling through Twitter and reading the fallout from envelope-gate. Today was the worst day at work I've had in awhile and my kids were raging lunatics by the time I got home (let's face it: I was the real lunatic). So here we are with an evening post and almost no pictures from the actual weekend. We spent Saturday at IKEA with my family and while we took plenty of random selfies and photos of naps on IKEA mattresses, I didn't take a single photo for todays post. What do you say we just have a camper weekend update instead? Let me start by saying that I know my camper isn't cool or ...
