Please join me and pray for my amazing sister, Kamin, and her husband, Cory, as they welcome their sweet baby boy to the world today. We are over-the-moon excited to meet him, he is already so loved and adored. MANY photos to come over the weekend, I'm sure, but you can watch the Insta-feed in the sidebar or follow along (@tazandbelly) to see live updates today! ...

It’s Sophie Day…
It's early. Bags are packed and the car is loaded. Beemer is cared for and Ella is fast asleep at Garan's. I've had a haircut, manicure and pedicure. I've paid the bills, mailed thank you notes and finally completed my Census form. The house is clean and the yard looks gorgeous. Big pink bows are hanging in Sophie's room... ready for the mailbox and front door. Coming home outfits are pressed and ready to go. The fridge is stocked for next week and we've got hospital snacks in the car. Car seats are installed and the nursery is finally finished. All that's left is to meet Sophie. Please pray for us today as we meet our new addition. Pray... that my surgery is on-time and uneventful. that my doctors and nurses make good decisions and give us the best possible care. that ...
Baby Love
Today we were lucky enough to tag along with K while she did a newborn session for our sweet Lake. We were in need of some time with our besties, since we haven't seen them since they've been home from the hospital. Ella's daddy even gave her a hard time this morning about getting all dressed up for her "boyfriend." In a few more weeks, we'll have plenty of time for play-dates {although we might be lacking in energy!} for the littles and the bigs. This time, we settled for brief conversation while Ella & Grey made a huge mess building a "fork" and we watched Lake play sweetly for his pictures. We had such fun! This was Ella's excited face... right before she got to practice her big sister skills on a sleepy, baby Lake. She was just itching to get her hands on him! And ...
Guess Who Is Here?
Sweet baby Lake. Born March 10th at 4:28, he was 7 pounds and 20 inches long. I had the pleasure of holding him for almost an hour yesterday and visiting with his mom. If I didn't have baby fever before, I certainly do now. I remember visiting the hospital when Grey was born and I was 36 weeks pregnant with Ella. She kicked me the whole time I was holding him. I am 35 weeks pregnant with Sophie and she, too, moved as long as Lake was settled on my tummy. Talk about drama queens! We will be blessed if Lake & Sophie love each other half as much as Grey & Ella do. I cannot imagine sharing this wonderful time of my life with three more precious people. Congrats Ryan, Grey & Baby Lake! ...
Lake’s Sprinkle
Today Ella, Gran and I went to a Sprinkle Shower for my best friend Ryan and her baby-to-be, Lake. It was so much fun to compare our bellies and laugh about how we looked pretty much the same the last go around. Ella got to pick out which present to open next and kept everyone pretty entertained. She is so excited about these babies and it was fun for her to see all of the tiny clothes and toys. Ryan & I have a photo much like this from Grey's baby shower, so we couldn't resist taking another. Even though we live with it everyday, it is funny to think about how we've been pregnant together both times. As much as we would enjoy the other being able to help more, it is fun to have someone to complain to and who knows exactly how you're feeling right now. Congrats on baby John ...
Raise your hand…
if you threw up in the car on the way to work this morning. Anyone, anyone? I didn't think so. Well, it wasn't fun, so be glad it wasn't you. Josh said it was quintessentially pregnant that immediately following that lovely moment, I turned into Chick-fil-A for a cheese biscuit and sweet tea. What's so weird about that? Since I surprised you all with a post last night and offered very few details, I thought a proper pregnancy post was called for. Complete with gratuitous ultrasound evidence, of course! I went to the doctor for a regularly-scheduled lab appointment in late July and proceeded to tell the lab tech that I was one of the least-fertile people on the planet. Little did I know what God had in store. On August 4th, I took my first pregnancy test and wasn't at all discouraged ...
Guess what?!?!
This fancy family has an announcement to make... Ella's going to be a BIG sister! ...
