HOW is it that Christmas is a mere 5 days away?! I'm ready and prepared, but I just feel like the holiday season really snuck up on me this year! Today is my last day of work for 2013 and I'm looking forward to twelve uninterrupted days of quality time with my people. Bring on the festivities!Josh & I don't normally exchange gifts for Christmas. We're those boring people that buy things that we need or want throughout the year and I almost always have a hard time even deciding what it is I want when the holiday rolls around. We don't buy many gifts, in general, outside of the girls and other small children in our family, but for some reason I really wanted to exchange gifts this year. Maybe it's because I found a few things I knew Josh would really enjoy. But it could be that I ...

5 on Friday | Week 48
Y'all. Why is it that after a short work week and a wonderful holiday weekend, that getting back in the swing of things has to be SO hard? I have to-do lists a mile long on my desk at work. And on those lists are more lists to make and things like "call your best friend whom you haven't spoken to in thirty days" because I can't seem to get the simplest tasks done without a reminder. At least I'm nearing the end of my holiday shopping and our house is looking merrier by the day. I'm hoping that by Monday morning most of my lists are in the trash and we're coasting through a wonderful month filled with crazy, fun things to do! Let's talk 5 on Friday. ONE | I got an Influenster #voxbox in the mail a little over a week ago and we love pretty much everything in it. It was full of Suave Family ...
5 on Friday | Week 46
I am so thrilled that it's Friday! This week seems to have taken forever and I cannot wait to spend a few lazy days at home with my family. We've got plans to eat dinner {to celebrate my 34th birthday} with my parents and sister tonight, tomorrow is football and a date night {may the odds be ever in your favor!} with the hubby and maybe even a little Christmas shopping. Let's talk 5 on Friday. ONE: Have you heard of fab|kids? It's kind of like Stitch Fix for kids! You can sign up to be a VIP and they will schedule you to receive one outfit per month for your little one. You fill out a style profile for them {it's pretty abbreviated} and they suggest 3 piece outfits based on that. You have until the 10th of the month to decline the box or they'll charge you $39.95 and ship your selection. ...
5 on Friday | Week 45
It's been far too long since I joined in on 5 on Friday. I like using these posts as a mini recap, but things have been so crazy that there isn't much to recap outside my regular posts! Josh & I have both been traveling a lot for work and scheduling the littles to be passed around while we're gone is HARD work. I think things have settled down a bit this week and I'm hoping we'll get to enjoy a peaceful holiday season with a lot less stress.Speaking of the holiday season... I thought I'd share some card designs as I gear up to work on holiday cards over the next few weeks. I've been a busy little bee and the Christmas card orders are rolling in. Since I can't spoil this years' cards, I thought I'd share five of my favorite designs from last year. ONE: I have to start with our card ...
5 on Friday | Week 42
Well, I'm pretty sure that I'll be the very last person linking up for 5 on Friday this week. After a crazy few weeks at work, I'm finally at home on a Friday night with nothing on the agenda but uploading some photos and writing a post or two. Josh took Ella across the street for the high-school football game, so Sophie and I are in our pajamas, enjoying Sofia the First and cold pizza. Doesn't that sound exciting? Here's what's been going on around here. 1. Family photos. I know I mentioned a few weeks ago that my talented sister snapped some photos of the grandkids for my mom. K posted the pictures earlier in the week and they are lovely. This might by my favorite family photo of all time! I think it's clear we're all a little crazy for Alabama football around here. I'm planning to use ...
5 on Friday | Week 40
Longest. Week. Ever. Last weekend was such a blur -- we went from event to event for three solid days. Even though it was filled with tons of great family time, there wasn't much time for napping involved. And let's be honest, naps are part of why I love the weekends! Josh is headed to Kentucky for the Bama game today (can you say jealous wife?!) and I'm envisioning lots of movies, laundry, football and napping on the horizon. Okay, enough of that, let's get on with 5 on Friday! 1. Scandal. I did it. I bit the bullet on Friday night and watched episode one. Taz fell asleep at the football game and I had a few hours to myself with nothing to do. I signed up for Netflix (Hulu only offers the current season?!) and by the time Josh got home from the game, I was on episode three. I'm almost ...
5 on Friday | Week 39
How excited are you that it's Friday?! We have some fun things planned for the weekend and I'm thrilled just to be home with my girls and Josh. Last weekend was crazy. I got home after midnight, two nights in a row and didn't get nearly enough family time. AND I still need to watch the first two episodes of Grey's Anatomy and convince Josh to sign up for Hulu so that I can watch Scandal! Okay, here's what we were up to this week. 1. You know all about the concert now, but what you don't know is that I rode down to Tuscaloosa on Saturday for the Alabama/Ole Miss game. Josh had taken the girls with him to a friend's house so I could get some housework done and then I was going to join them later in the afternoon to watch the game. They weren't gone ten minutes when my friend, Leila, called ...
5 on Friday | Week 38
It's that time again!! I am seriously falling in love with 5 on Fridays. I've been thinking all week about what I can share with you. I'm sorry I get so long-winded, but it's like 5 blog posts all wrapped up in one. Indulge me. 1. Family pictures. My mom has been begging us to snap some pictures of the grandkids all together since Hudson was born in July. You would think since we all live on the same street and my sister is a photographer that this would be easy to achieve. Notsomuch. She also wanted to take a family photo with the newest addition for her Christmas cards. I got so overwhelmed with design orders last year that my mom never got a Christmas card (#daughterfail), so I promised to have hers all wrapped up before I started taking orders in mid-October. I haven't seen the ...
