I'm still behind on blogging, so in an effort to catch up, I'm going to share a post about what my big girls have been up to, before it's time to share Polly's nine month update next week (what in the world?!). Back in April, Sophie's elementary school hosted a Father + Daughter Dance and she was thrilled at the thought of taking her daddy. Obviously, Josh would dance on the moon if they asked him to, but I think he was secretly hoping she wouldn't want to participate in this event - ha! The funniest part is that she thought this was some sort of choreographed, dance on stage situation, and she was very concerned at the lack of practices. Once we explained what a dance actually was, she was even more excited to attend. She did mention that daddy sat at a table and chatted with ...

April Little Things
May is almost behind us, so I though I should sneak our April Little Things video in, before it's time to share our moments from this month. I think I told you in another post that April was a beast -- it's usually May that overwhelms me, with all of the end of the year parties and activities, but April was filled to the brim. We were trying to get everything squared away to close on our house, we were finishing up dance competition season, and celebrating a birthday for my favorite nine year old. I didn't catch as much on camera as I wanted to this month, but these are a few of my favorite moments from the month. ...
Hello, Friday [May 10, 2019]
Can we first take a minute to congratulate me on FIVE POSTS IN ONE WEEK -- who am I even? I told you that I had a ton of photographs and video to get through this week and I wasn't kidding. Maybe a few more five-post-weeks and we'll be all caught up before summer (but probably not, because: motherhood). I think in last week's post I told you I was feeling really convicted about not having guests over more often, because I was embarrassed about our lack of house progress. Ella ended up having two friends over last Friday night and Sophie is having a friend over tonight and my house is not done and I did not die. Are you following Erin Moon on Instagram? Because if you aren't, you are missing out on a GEM. She's the producer of our favorite podcast - The Popcast - and is local ...
Hello, Friday [May 3, 2019]
Hello, Friday, I thought you would never come. Am I the only one that felt like this week lasted forever? I'm usually lamenting how fast the time flies, but it feels like forever since the weekend. There are plenty of links in today’s post, but none of them are affiliate links. I'm not going to start with "I owe you a post on," because that list could get long, really fast. But, I definitely owe you a full post on baby led weaning or infant self-feeding. The last eight weeks have been quite the journey, but we are finally getting the hang of things. I'm starting to see a pattern in the kinds of foods Polly loves (not chicken) and she's actually eating things instead of just playing with them. Waffles, raspberries, and sliced turkey were a few new additions that got high praise ...

You can read more about our affiliate relationships here. seven months as of April 5, 2019 I took these photos last Tuesday after Polly's nap and I had to check myself before changing her into something frilly or Instagram worthy. The fact is, she's stinking adorable in a graphic tee and joggers and I need to document that normalcy, too. She actually wore this to school today and it has me itching to add a few more cute tees to her spring and summer wardrobe (paired with J&J circle skirts, anyone?!). Height + Weight: I'm not sure about Polly's stats this month and she won't go back to the pediatrician until late June. Clothes: Her clothes are mostly ...
A Day in the Life | March 2019
It's been six months since I shared a day in the life post, which means I haven't written one since Polly was born and that makes me sad. I kept thinking I would document our days at home together, but then I didn't. I took plenty of photographs and I diligently wrote in our Promptly Journal, so it's not that they aren't documented, they just aren't documented here. I decided that since I'm getting my life together in all of the other places, I might as well get it together here, too. Monday, March 18, 2019 415 am | Our first nursing session of the day. We're still nursing a few times overnight, because we cannot seem to get back in a normal sleeping routine. I'm not panicking yet, I know it will happen for her eventually. 515 am | She's awake again. This time, I rock her back ...

You can read more about our affiliate relationships here. six months as of March 5, 2019 I'm a two full weeks late posting Polly's monthly update, but our life has been so full the last few weeks, that I'm struggling to stay on track! I kept her home from school yesterday and today, and despite how crummy she's feeling, Ella managed to make her smile long enough to snap a few photos to celebrate her half birthday. HOW are we half-way to a year already?! These baby days are ticking by faster than we could have imagined and we are doing everything we can to soak her up! Height + Weight: Polly had her six month checkup a few weeks ago and it's always so fun to ...
Currently | February 2019
I'll probably end up writing an entire post about this later in the week (month?), but I feel like the new year is just getting started. Am I the only one who feels like January is a trial run and that I needed that entire thirty-one days to think about what I want out of this year? 2018 was beautiful, but hard, and we're still adjusting to the new normal of having a baby in our house. I'm hoping that February will bring with it some normalcy and that we'll all settle into a new routine. anticipating | I'm anticipating setting some goals for the year -- personally, financially, and with regard to the blog. I've been reading through so many resolution posts of my blogging friends and it's really helped me to clarify what I want out of this year. I'm not only anticipating our year, ...
