With all the rain we've been having, playing outside hasn't really been an option. Earlier in the week Ella went to the bed & breakfast with my mom and sister to take some pictures. They took my camera, too and when I downloaded the pictures that night I found these. It looks like they had lots of fun. ...
What happened next
Ella LOVES her friends at school and was really insistent on bringing them prizes from Disney. I don't know if y'all have checked the prices on Mickey souvenirs, but they're a little steep! Instead we went to the sweet treats shop and brought them all a Disney lollipop. We got them home, wrapped them up and off to school with them she went. ...
Spending the night
On the last day of our Disney trip we drove home. Eight and a half hours. It was a long day and Ella wasn't thrilled about being in the car that long while she was awake. Luckily since we drove down in the evening she slept all the way there, but on our return trip it was all sunshine all the time. What we really needed to do when we got home was to sleep about 75 hours. What we really did was visit. We stopped to see Gran & Poppy and boy were they happy to see us. We also saw Heather, Phillip, K and Cory. Then Molly and Heath came over for dinner. I don't know about you, but when I see two girls having a fabulous time I kind of hate to separate them. So against my better judgment, I suggested that Molly spend the night. Despite Ella's multiple breakdowns due to lack of ...
Grand Finale
Alrighty, the masses have spoken. Well, four of you, but who's counting? Prepare yourself for a long post, because this one is chock-full of Disney goodness and a few never-before-seen photos. The one above is probably my favorite from the entire trip, despite the fact that it doesn't include any of us. I took this while waiting to ride Dumbo for the last time and was remarkably impressed with the fact that it is in focus and not totally blown out. These are Ella's three favorite things in Magic Kingdom. Cinderella's Castle. The Carousel. Dumbo. Above are Ella and SD on the tram from the car to the transportation & ticket center. The few below are of dinner at Casey's Corner. If you're looking for a good hotdog in the MK it is the place to be. Good stadium style dogs with a bar of ...
Sporadic
That is the word that describes the internet service at my house right now. We just attempted to watch 24 on-line and while that normally would decrease the amount of time it takes to watch, since the commercials are omitted, it actually increased that time exponentially. Ugh. Moving on... The Shred is still killing me. I have to admit, however, that it is at least mildly entertaining if for no other reason than it gets all four of us {dog included} in one room and we look so ridiculous that we can't help but laugh at ourselves. Josh is using my hand weights, so I have to use water bottles. I know, I'm weak. Ella wants to join in the fun so last night she used her sandals and tonight she used ink pens. I wish that's what I was using. If I'm not skinny before too long I'm going to want ...
Minnie’s Sunroom
Although we took some great photos today, I haven't had any time to upload them. Instead, we've been soaking up our last day in Disney World. We spent a few hours in Epcot this morning and rounded out our vacation with yet another evening in the Magic Kingdom. Just to tide you over, I wanted to leave you with a picture from yesterday. This is Ella sitting in Minnie's sunroom. She was tickled that Minnie's cute little house had a sunroom and garden just like Garan. Hopefully, tomorrow afternoon we'll be in Garan's sunroom and garden. We're getting up really early for the drive home. ...
Why the long face?
In case you're wondering why she looked like this when we got to Magic Kingdom this morning, I have no idea. She woke up happy, only got one spanking before we got to WDW and was so excited to be back at Cinderella's castle. My only guess is that she wasn't thrilled with the crazy cast member taking our photograph! She cheered right on up once we were riding rides. Today we spent the morning in Tomorrowland, riding some things we hadn't seen yet. Then we headed off to Mickey's Toontown Fair to see none other than Mickey Mouse himself! While there, we had our picture taken with Minnie & Mickey, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. Ella is getting braver with each character and did remarkably well with each of these. We also rode the WDW Railroad around the entire park before leaving ...
She’s an animal!
Today we spent the day in Animal Kingdom. I don't really have the strength it would take to put together a coherent post. We're all exhausted. It was our longest day in the parks so far. We did manage to sneak a little nap in this afternoon and then we headed out for pasta. Now we're on the downside, ready for bed. We had a great day. Saw lots of animals, rode some rides, saw some shows. Ate A LOT. Watched the parade. Had a few meltdowns (mommies & daddies included). I took 204 photographs. Instead of words, here are my favorite pics of the day. See you tomorrow. ...
