Any guesses on what we were doing here? And to answer a question left in the comments of the previous post, I take all pictures with a Canon Digital Rebel XT and the lovely lense that came with it. I am not a fabulous photographer, sometimes I get lucky and sometimes I get Photoshop. In general, if its gorgeous {like the one above}, sister K took it. Thanks for the flattery, though! ...

Back to School
Ella is getting ready to return to "school" next week when our county's schools begin their session. For those who don't know, my aunt Heidi keeps the children of some local elementary school teachers and I'm lucky enough that she keeps Ella from August to May as well. Ella loves staying with Garan during the summer, but when she goes back to school, so does Ella. Today, she and Garan had a back to school bash and invited all of her friends over to swim, play and eat a picnic lunch. It looks like they had LOTS of fun! ...
Wedding List
1. Daddy doesn't have black socks and opts for charcoal grey. They look ridiculous with his black pants and shoes. 2. Daddy's tux doesn't come close to fitting. We can both fit in the vest and the jacket looks like it was made for Ruben Studdard. I must admit, however, he's pretty handsome anyway. 3. Oldest ring bearer has a face-plant into the end of a church pew resulting in a rather large strawberry, bruise and cut to the cheek... right before pictures. 4. Flower girls beat their poor flower wreath headpieces to a pulp. Ella can't stand still enough to keep hers on. Addison refuses to wear hers down the aisle. 5. Ella announces to me during the wedding that she is "READY TO EAT, Mom!". In her defense, when I place my finger over my lip to quieten her, she whispers ...
Nana-palooza!
Guess whose birthday we celebrated today? NANA! We took her out for yummy Mexican food and followed it up with ice cream at the DQ. It made a fun afternoon and we were all so full we needed to be rolled out to the car. Happy Birthday, Nana. We love you! Nana, please forgive me for posting a picture of you eating. I'm sorry. ...
Wedding Preview.
This wedding deserves a post of it's own. Maybe 20. The kids were hilarious and awful. Their mama's were horribly embarrassed, shaking with laughter and after it was all over, we were worn out. The pictures are in major need of editing {the lighting in the church was very low}, so I'll leave you with one sneak-peak and some indication of how the kids acted. Mine announced promptly after the prayer, while on stage, that she was "READY TO EAT!" Loudly. And the bride and groom's son started singing Happy Birthday. During the vows. Priceless. ...
Practice Run
Y'all, other than a stint as a junior bridesmaid about nineteen years ago and my stellar performance as matron-of-honor this spring, I've never been in a wedding. I'm not complaining, I just find it funny. Mostly because Ella will be in her third on Saturday. I'm seriously considering charging a fee. I finally picked up her dress yesterday and today I made a hairbow and swapped out the ribbons on her Sunday shoes. We've talked a lot about being the flower girl, but she hasn't sounded too excited this go round. I thought maybe what we needed was a practice run. Turns out, all we needed was a fashion show! ...
Random Tuesday Facts
I'm tired and nothing much post-worthy is going on around here. So I'll give you a few bullet points and a cute picture to tide you over until tomorrow. I loved the season finale of the Bachelorette last night {even though I shouldn't waste my time on such}. I liked Ed from the beginning and I'm anxious to watch ATFR to see if anything has changed since that was filmed. My DVR is on full-steam right now and I plan on watching commercial-free in about 20 minutes. Tonight I had a social event for work - a firm softball game/picnic and we've just walked in the door. Ella had fun chasing the boys, playing in the mud puddles {despite her adorable outfit and coordinating sandals and bow}, and getting an ice cream sandwich from the ice cream truck. Mommy had fun visiting with grown-ups and ...
