A few weeks before Thanksgiving, Kamin took us to Linn Park for a family photo shoot. They all turned out so beautiful, but I haven't had a chance to share them with you yet! One of them is on our Christmas card, so I'll save that one for later {even though our cards are less than stellar this year, due to a certain little someone}. In the meantime, these are a few of my favorites. Hope you enjoy! Click here to see just how talented our sweet Kamin is. ...

Rock House Christmas
I'm finally here, all decorated for Christmas and breathing a sigh of relief. I had planned to post on one room each day leading up to the home tour, but didn't get it all done in time. I know I've said this numerous times in the last month, but I wasn't prepared for how this pregnancy would affect my energy levels and change the way I planned for Christmas. What I normally would accomplish in one weekend has taken two weeks and it greatly scaled back. If you are here from The Nester, thanks for coming and I hope you enjoy the tour! For the outside, I don't usually use lights. My house is old and there are barely any original interior outlets, much less outdoor ones. Rigging up electricity for the porch is sometimes a dangerous feat! Instead, I usually hang wreaths on each of the ...
Saturday’s List
Today, I am: Eating cheese toast and drinking a cup of decaf coffee.Reading a new book with no lights on but the Christmas trees. Hanging the wreaths on the front porch (finally) and decorating the mantels. Happy to say my Christmas cards have finally been ordered and you guys might actually get one before Christmas! Wrapping all of my presents and calling Christmas shopping '09, officially over. Enjoying a new haircut. Glad that SD is home for the weekend. Going to the Alabama basketball game with my hubby. Have a happy weekend, blog friends. ...
Ballerina Christmas
Slowly but surely, I'm getting my Christmas decorations up. I'm thinking about leaving them up the month of January since I'm so late to the game. I'm usually completely decorated the weekend after Thanksgiving, but this whole "bun-in-the-oven" situation is completely throwing me for a loop! I'm working hard to get everything done in time for The Nester's home tour on Monday, so come back for more pretties between now and then. Last night, I managed to get Ella's room decorated and she was so excited. We used the same white feather wreaths and small white tree from last year, we just added a few ornaments and a fluffier tutu for the skirt this year. We sat the tree up on top of her side table and it looks so pretty! It also helps that I don't have to vacuum around it or worry about ...
Christmas Treats
This past Saturday morning, Ella and I bundled up and drove through the half inch of snow to spend the day with two of our very favorite people - Grey and his mommy Ryan. We had lots of fun things planned for the day and these two kids play so well together that we actually got them all done! First up was building gingerbread houses. Now, we aren't brave enough to start from scratch, especially with two little helpers. These two did, however, enjoy helping ice the kits we bought and cover them with candy. Grey was more interested in eating the candy than decorating with it, but Ella picked up the slack and stole it for hers. Isn't that just like a woman? Here they are with the finished product. Aren't they adorable? Oh, the houses are pretty cute, too. After a toy break while the ...
