Visitors
Guess who came by for a surprise visit one night this week? No, Alston isn't wearing a tutu!! This is another sneak peek at my latest project for sweet Sophie. Beth and I had a nice visit, but it was just as fun to watch these two battle it out. Alston wanted to do his own thing and Ella wanted to boss him around and be in charge. She would get so frustrated when he wouldn't do things her way. Boy, is she in for a rude awakening!! I had forgotten how much work these little buggers are, but it was so much fun chasing after him. I'm obviously out of practice. ...
Ella’s Sleepy Chart
So, I know I've told you that we've been battling bedtime. It's my own fault since I sort of spoiled Ella while I was sick and complaining during my first trimester. Right before Christmas we got really determined to break her bad habits before Sophie got here. We thought it would be a piece of cake... especially considering what a great sleeper she had been before. In the beginning the battle we fought was "going" to sleep. She would kick and scream and give us a litany of excuses about why her room was horrible or she couldn't sleep. It seemed like once we got her to sleep, however, she slept like a dream. Then we got her falling asleep all on her own again. No kicks, no screams - only sweet prayers, things we were thankful for and goodnight mommy's. Over the last ten days or so, ...

Model Citizen and Party Queen!
Remember a few days ago, I shared a magazine ad that Ella had been photographed for? I also hinted that we'd have something else to share soon. Well, today's the day that these two pretty magazines hit the shelves and I can finally show you how adorable Ella really is! Several months ago, K took pictures of Ella for Sew Beautiful's spring issue and they turned out appropriately beautiful. I love Ella in yellow and despite the fact that these were taken in the dead of winter, she looks ready for Easter! My Kind of Saturday…
Yesterday was a good day. The kind of day that makes me happy I live in my little rock house, married to my best friend, with a golden-haired princess running around and a tinier version hanging out near my ribcage. We had no plans, no agenda, nothing to do. We wore our pajamas most of the day. I only left the house once. We watched countless stupid movies, listened to music and read books. This is how we would spend our days if I got to stay at home with my littles. We slept 'til seven and made pigs-in-a-blanket for breakfast. and decaf coffee, which I thoroughly look forward to on the weekends. We ate pretend ice cream. All day long. SD & I got back in bed and watched Dick Tracy and My Girl, while Ella cooked in her kitchen, watched some cartoons and read the ...
Hint of Spring
This is what we spent last Sunday afternoon doing. We might need a coat this week, but I'm hoping for a little playtime with my princess again tomorrow. ...
It’s a Gift!
Sophie has been getting a few gifts here lately and I've actually been meaning to post about all of them. Just like I've been meaning to post pictures from last weekend that have been on my camera all week and just never made it to the computer. Is it too much for a pregnant girl to ask her camera to do the dirty work for her? Gosh, that would be so easy! Anyway... I got a lovely gift this afternoon from my sweet friend Krystal and I must say it is about the cutest thing I have ever seen. I cannot wait to put her in this and only this (save a diaper, of course) and take a picture of her snuggled in her crib. My mouth is watering just thinking about it and I couldn't help but share! ...
