After yesterday's post, I thought maybe you'd like to see Ella at three months to compare. These were both taken at their 3 month photo shoots and they're wearing their respective coming home/christening gowns that Gran made. Sophie / Ella What do you think now? ...
Chippy Garden Goodness
Remember these newborns pictures? Well now it's time to share the three-month session. I know I gave you a little sneak-peek last month, but it's time for the full reveal. Hello old man faces, chippy old chair, blooming crepe myrtles, pretty pink rainboots. Of course, we had to sneak a sister shot in there! Since Ella had pics made in her coming home gown at three months, I wanted to do that with Sophie, too. I can't wait to have them hanging side by side in my bedroom. Thanks Sister K, you are awesome, as always. ...
Love Letters: Four Months
Seriously... cutest face on the planet, or what? Sophie, How can you already be four months old? Has it really been a whole month since we spent our lazy days together? You have grown so much since then, both physically and in other ways. You haven't been back to the doctor yet, so I'm not sure how much you weigh, but it can't be more than 12 pounds. All the other mommies comment on how little you are. We think you are just right! You are getting SO long and when I hold you, your legs stretch halfway down my body. Your hands and feet are still so tiny, but boy are those cheeks plumping up. Now that you love laying on your belly and can hold your head up with the best of them, you are spending lots of time on the floor with your toys. You'll lay on your mat and play with your ...
Guess Who?
I didn't plan to share this until a little later, but Ella was SO excited that she couldn't stand it. I am amazed that although I ordered every piece from somewhere different, all the boxes managed to litter my front porch on the same day. Ella wanted an Olivia the Pig birthday party this year, so we've pretty much been planning since January. I can't wait to fill you in on all the details. Much like last year, we'll be dressing up for the party and then recycling pieces of the outfit for Halloween. These pictures show the Halloween look. For the birthday, we'll be wearing sandals and a birthday tank instead. The shirt is from Mini Boden, tulle skirt from eBay, tights from eCrater, shoes from Puddle Jumpers {thanks, Nana}, the noses can be found at just about any costume shop ...
Guess what we got today?
Yay! Do you know how happy my husband is today? Obviously not happy enough to let me take his picture, but pretty close. These were his Christmas, Birthday, Valentine's, Father's Day and Anniversary present. If he enjoys them this year, he may never get another present again. Now we're shopping for game day outfits and lining up babysitters. Even Ella has a ticket for one weekend and is excited about her very first college football game. ...
Photo Update
Other than celebrating my anniversary {all by myself} and missing our Sweet Daddy while he traveled for work, we haven't been doing too much around here. We cleaned the house, designed some new stationary and party invitations, snuggled with Garan, and tried out every "baby-occupier" we had in the house! Despite a rough start to my day, its been the best one all week. I had a light day at work, yummy lunch at Panera with my bestie, retail therapy that someone else paid for {thanks, Nana}, sleeping babies, yummy crock-pot tacos and the arrival of SD in less than thirty minutes! ...
Thirteen Years
Today, I've been married for eight years, but I've been in love with Josh for the better part of thirteen. I have "known" my husband since I was in the second grade. When I was seventeen and dating someone else, his best friend told me he wanted to go out with me. He says the combat boots did it for him. I have to admit... for me, it was the baseball pants. Panama City Beach, Florida, 1997 We started dating in February of 1997. I went to his senior prom. I watched him graduate and went to the beach with him the morning after. We fell asleep in the sand and got a terrible sunburn. He and our best friend Chris wore satin pajama pants and harassed beach goers on the strip. His dad made up new lyrics to popular songs and we road home happy in the back seat of the Buick. Senior Prom, ...
the view from here
I don't like ants. AT ALL. They have decided, however, that they like me. They have set up camp in my bathroom, my kitchen and my pantry. They have been taking advantage of my stockpile of Honey Nut Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. We are not on good terms. Today, those pesky ants are being taken care of, so I'm working from home. I like the view from my office window, seven floors up, but this one is pretty cute, too. ...
