Sunday, August 19 (Day 231): This little bitty convinced me to let her give Big Church a shot. She did pretty good until it was time for preaching. When I tried to quietly smuggle her out, she announced the crowd she was getting a snack and would be right back :). Monday, August 20 (Day 232): Ella's first day of kindergarten. Sigh. Tuesday, August 21 (Day 233): I tried dots and dots, but couldn't ever decide if I loved it or not. Thoughts? Wednesday, August 22 (Day 234): I finally got back on the treadmill and didn't do too bad! 3.5 miles down. Thursday, August 23 (Day 235): I tried to love these tie-dyed blue jeans, but couldn't decide what to wear with them. Friday, August 24 (Day 236): I ultimately returned them and got these polka dot ones instead. Then I got home and ...
Project 365: Week 33
Sunday, August 12 (Day 224): I finally bought groceries after two weeks and it was NOT pretty. This is what going back to school does to your food budget! Monday, August 13 (Day 225): Man this makes me mad! Tuesday, August 14 (Day 226): Somebody has learned to open the refrigerator and can finally reach the drawer with her goodies inside. There is no stopping her now, she has free reign on squeezies and yogurt! Wednesday, August 15 (Day 227): After Bible Study we packed up several weeks worth of clothes and shoes for some friends in our school district. Doesn't it feel good to give back to your community? Thursday, August 16 (Day 228): Ella and I worked on a top-secret project for her new teacher! Pretty binders are the best! Friday, August 17 (Day 229): Oh, John. He released ...
Project 365: Week 32
Sunday, August 5 (Day 217): Pardon his words, but this was a text from Josh after I left him at the airport. He was headed to Iowa and had a series of VERY unfortunate delays which made him 24 hours late to work! Monday, August 6 (Day 218): I started wrapping his anniversary gifts! Tuesday, August 7 (Day 219): Doh. Wednesday, August 8 (Day 220): Spending time with my best friend always involves food. This day there was obviously way too much for two people. Except that we ate it all. Thursday, August 9 (Day 221): I got a special delivery the day before my anniversary from my husband who was many states away. I was beyond excited to get into this gift! Friday, August 10 (Day 222): We all know it was cowboy boots and I was in love. He picked them out himself and did so good. I ...
Project 365: Week 31
Sunday, July 29 (Day 210): Unfortunately we had to come home from the beach. That part wasn't fun, but the car ride home certainly was. This trip was so much fun and MUST be repeated annually! Monday, July 30 (Day 211): Olympics and a milkshake with my husband = an awesome Monday night. Tuesday, July 31 (Day 212): Ella's lunchbox came in the mail on Tuesday. Wednesday, August 1 (Day 213): and her backpack finally arrived on Wednesday. Pretty fantastic, no? Thursday, August 2 (Day 214): I love red and turquoise together. This is my new favorite nail polish color. Friday, August 3 (Day 215): I bought this leopard print skirt while I was at the beach with girls. I got it at the J. Crew outlet, but it was still a bit of a splurge for me. Either way, this is easily my favorite ...
Project 365: Week 30
Sunday, July 22 (Day 203): Sunday afternoon in her new bed! Monday, July 23 (Day 204): I bought myself a little present at Ross. I had been looking for a very small, cross-body bag for football games and such. Tuesday, July 24 (Day 205): Insanity. Enough said. Wednesday, July 25 (Day 206): I had lunch with my bestie at Which Wich and it was SO good. Yay for take home cups! Thursday, July 26 (Day 207): Ugh. Nothing. Does it help matters that I was in a minivan headed to the beach with 7 of my favorite girls? Friday, July 27 (Day 208): Gulf Shores at last. Saturday, July 28 (Day 209): Tacky Jack's for a late dinner with the girls. I've committed to taking a photograph-a-day to document one year in the life of the little princesses. If you'd like to look at images from ...
Project 365: Week 29
Sunday, July 15 (Day 196): Ella snapped this picture with Josh's phone in Cracker Barrel on the way home from the beach on Sunday. I didn't take a photo all day, but Ella couldn't stop. My choices were this picture of her tea or a really awkward photo of my face mid-sentence. You see which way I went. Monday, July 16 (Day 197): Finally started a new book (from the church library -- very good series) and got tons of back-to-school catalogs in the mail! Tuesday, July 17 (Day 198): I had lunch with a very good friend and we devoured these chips and dips. Wednesday, July 18 (Day 199): Bible Study prep and a bowl of my favorite mac & cheese at Panera Bread. Thursday, July 19 (Day 200): I posted five very random facts about myself. Friday, July 20 (Day 201): I was picking up ...
Project 365: Week 28
Remember back when I was posting a weekly update of my Project 365 photos? And even farther back when I did a monthly review with the calendar at the end of the month? Well, all 107 of you know by now that I'm not the world's greatest blogger. I decided to take the next several days (weeks?) to finally catch up on P365. If you follow me on Instagram or we're Facebook friends, then you might have seen these already. The descriptions might be vague because, let's face it, I have no idea if I'll actually remember what we were doing two months ago. Let's muddle through. Sunday, July 8 (Day 189): I did a TON of laundry to get ready for our second beach vacation of the summer. Washing, drying, folding, packing. Not my favorite chore, but I'm guessing since the remote control is laying right ...
