22/365: I didn’t cook dinner that night, so everyone fended for themselves. I pretended I was six and had goldfish with my sandwich and a few sharp cheddar cheese slices. Yum! 23/365: On Wednesday, my sweet husband drove 45 minutes and had lunch with me which NEVER happens (there was an ulterior motive, but I can’t complain). We had BBQ at Saw’s in Homewood and I stuffed myself. I had so much more food than he did and I ate EVERY. SINGLE. BITE. I am not that girly girl that orders a salad.
24/365: Thursday was Ella’s 100th day of school and she had to dress like a hundred year old woman. She was so adorable and excited to head out the door! 25/365: On Friday I ordered this super cute top for my half-marathon next month. I’ve been debating what to wear and it was pretty much a done deal when I stumbled onto this on etsy. Adorbs, right?
26/365: Saturday was our annual circus day! Ringling Brothers was in town and we spent the day on the town. We had a yummy breakfast at IHOP, saw the circus pre show, spent two-hours being amazed with the acts while we ate epic snowcones and popcorn and followed it all up with a late lunch. Post to follow about all of that, but it was fun! 27/365: I don’t normally run on Sunday’s (and even joked with my pastor about it because he preached on keeping the sabbath holy earlier that morning), but with the half coming up, I’m running a little more than usual. Meg joined me for the first six again and I ran five and a half more after she left. 11.5 is my longest run to date and it was hard. My pace was slow and I was dead by the time I reached my car, but I was so proud. I’ll probably only run more long run before the race and take some time to rest my legs and let the blisters heal. 28/365: This is such a cop-out, but at 11 o’clock last night when SD & I were finally ready for bed I realized that I never took a photo. The girls had been asleep for hours, B was curled up on the couch in the dark, Josh & weren’t doing anything worth photographing, so I posted this ridiculous rant on Instagram. It’ll have to do!
