29/365: Just another lunch-time run. This time, I ran the opposite of my normal route which made for a few changes in scenery. I also did a few laps at Railroad Park (where I had never been before) and it was beautiful! I can’t wait for the new baseball stadium to open there. Such a fun, new area of town. 30/365: I had my usual Wednesday evening dinner, only this time I was alone. I grabbed pasta at Nothing but Noodles and dug in to Jen Hatmaker’s “Interrupted”. Y’all, this book is killing me!
31/365: Thursday was our Sweet Daddy’s birthday! As always, my mom cooked what we call “Family Night Dinner” and we had brownies and ice cream for dessert. Ella had been home from school with a stomach virus that day, but was finally feeling like getting out of the house. 32/365: Unfortunately, in the middle of the night SK woke up with that nasty virus. I ended up staying home with her on Friday so that SD could work and we had some major snuggle times. Ella was feeling better, but I kept her home with us just in case. By late afternoon every one was feeling better and Sophie even brought me some plastic food for dinner!
33/365: On Saturday I was determined to be productive. I let SD sleep late and while the girls ate breakfast and watched cartoons, I got started on some housework and FINALLY put most of my holiday decorations in the shed. I still have a few things lingering around the house, but I’m close. I know how ridiculous this must sound, but I enjoy them in January and I’m never in a rush to put them away. 34/365: We are having breakfast at church every Sunday morning between now and summer as a fundraiser for our youth choir’s summer tour. Our daddy had a deacon’s meeting bright and early, so the girls and I were on our own. Sophie was complaining about the sunshine while eating breakfast, so she borrowed my shades. 35/365: Well, we knew it was bound to happen, but the stomach virus finally caught up with mom and dad on Monday. I spent the day in bed with the dog. I bet I slept 18 out of 24 hours. I managed to read a little bit and Beemer kept my toes warm, but it was not a very fun day!
