I know I’ve been saying this a lot lately, but I’m really sorry for the lack of posts. There might not even be anybody that cares, but I feel guilty anyway! Even though in some ways I’m getting used to having a traveling husband, parts of it seem a little harder these days. Ella is such a sweet girl and so well behaved. My job hasn’t changed. The dog is a little higher maintenance, but nothing out of the ordinary. Suddenly, I’m a little overwhelmed with housework and house projects, bills are harder to pay, dishes are harder to wash and crafts are harder to accomplish.
I want to share a picture with you and I don’t want you to panic; it isn’t always this way. This is what my dining room looks like right now.
You know this isn’t normally the way my house looks because I posted photos of the living room and dining room just last week. Y’all, I’m having some SERIOUS spring cleaning cravings. Are you feeling as claustrophobic as I am this season? I want to get rid of everything, brighten up every room and move tons of stuff out of this house. I think that’s why I can’t get anything else done. I can’t stop looking at all of the junk in our house. This pile contains all of the things I’ve purged from every other room in our house.
Tomorrow, it’s all going to have a permanent place to live. Bills are getting paid, paperwork filed, Barbies are moving back to the basement, the rug is getting handed off, I’m finally finding a place for that vacuum, trash is going out and dishes/decorations are going into storage. Anybody need a lamp or lampshade? Silk yellow bells or daisies? Are you sure? There out of here…
Now, for the real reason my dining room looks like this. I cleaned it all out of my studio for Friday’s “Show Us Where You Live: Home Office Edition”! Since we refinished the furniture and converted our old guest room/future nursery into my studio I haven’t done much else. A few pieces of furniture and accessories have been added, but I wasn’t completely happy with it. I’ve been working in there for the last three hours and all I have to say is, “Ahhhhh.”
