This month’s photograph cracks me up, because it’s so similar — and so different — from last month. Polly has really stepped up her crawling game and I can barely snap a photograph before she completely leaves the frame! The girls and I were watching a movie on the couch and she had pulled all of her swimsuits from her dresser in the dining room (yes, her clothes are all downstairs) and was dragging them all over our house.
reading | I started From Twinkle with Love, but haven’t gotten past the first chapter. It’s due back at the library on Friday, so unless a miracle happens, I’m not going to get to finish. Next in my stack is The Clockmaker’s Daughter, so it looks like I’ll be starting that one this week.
enjoying | It’s probably sad to admit, but I’m really enjoying all of the good television out right now! I’m almost caught up with A Handmaid’s Tale, we just finished the second season of Dark on Monday (so freaking good), season two of Big Little Liars is on deck, and the new season of Stranger Things comes out this week!
finding | I’m on the hunt for a few new makeup products this month, just because I’m in a rut. I stick to mostly drugstore brands, which makes it more difficult to buy clean and natural products (but not impossible). I’ve tried brow fillers in the past, but I picked up a Boy Brow dupe a few weeks ago and my brows have never looked better.
saving | Our town doesn’t offer roadside recycling pick up, so I’ve never investigated our options and we throw “away” an embarrassing amount of trash. I’ve been really convicted about our consumption and waste, so Josh & I have been talking through how to be more responsible with our waste. We’re giving Plastic Free July an attempt (it’s not going to be perfect), are researching starting a compost pile for our food waste, and we’re saving all of our recyclables for the first time ever. Who knew the recycling drop off for our county was only a few miles from our home?!
tasting| I have tasted more baby food than I’m prepared to admit, in the last few weeks. Teething has thrown a kink into our otherwise adventurous eater, so we’ve been heavily relying on veggie pouches and squeezable yogurts for the past week or so. I find myself accidentally licking my fingers all the time and Polly thinks it’s hilarious.
