Dear Internet, Yes, I did tell you that the Little Letter link up would be last Friday and, yes, I did forget. But I’m here now, so all is forgiven, right?
Dear Banana Bread, You were delicious. I had been staring at over-ripened bananas for days, so when Polly and I found ourselves with some free time on Tuesday morning, we found this recipe on Pinterest and got started. The bread was amazing and Polly loved dipping her spoon in the bowl of squishy bananas.
Dear Feeding Littles, I only recently found your website and I think I’m in love. Of course, I missed your sale yesterday, but that probably won’t stop me from purchasing your course. I can’t wait to start Baby Led Weaning with Polly in a few more weeks. I’ve given her a few bites of bananas and eggs, but I’m trying to reread the book before she’s old enough for a bigger variety.
Dear Polly, Thank for having such a great week. I know that crying a little before bed is stressful for us all, but you have been working so hard and it shows. Yesterday morning, you woke up smiling and laughing in your crib. What a huge win!
Dear Adulting, I have really embraced you this year. Sure, I’m 39 and probably should have gotten on this train a little earlier in life, but my word for 2019 (stay tuned for more about this next week!) is really motivating and I’m so proud of all I’ve already accomplished in February. I’m working on a major budget overhaul, I have a new way to meal plan and grocery shop, and I’m tidying up every area of my home. Any guesses on what this year’s word is?
Dear Agendio, You are officially my new favorite planner. I wrote a note to you last month, but you hadn’t actually arrived yet, so I couldn’t be sure I would love you. It turns out, I have great ideas occasionally and all of the customizations I set up are working perfectly.
Dear Disney World, We are officially saving for our next trip. We’re aiming to visit sometime after Polly’s 2nd birthday (while she’s still freeeeee) and I want this trip to be 100% funded before we have to book our reservations. I know that I’m better at saving incrementally, so I opened a new savings account, set up weekly automatic transfers, and decided to be hands off. This is our new approach to saving for specific items and I’m already excited to see how it goes (do you have any handy-dandy savings strategies?).
Dear Darling Swimsuit, It might be February and blistering cold outside (or not, this is Alabama), but I ordered you x4 yesterday, so that all of the mini cousins can match at the beach this summer. Sure you start at a size 12-18, but I’m going to assume that infant swimsuits still run small and that Polly’s legs will be predictably chunky enough to fill you out.
Dear Virtual Friends, I’m so excited that you’re back here again this year! I got so many requests to bring it back after neglecting it during my pregnancy and maternity leave.
Dear New Visitors, This is our favorite new old linkup. The second Friday of every month, we’ll be sharing Little Letters together on our blogs. Write a series of letters to anyone or anything you’d like — they can be sweet, sentimental, irreverent or funny — and come back here to link up. Don’t forget to share with your friends, this is one of those times where “the more, the merrier” definitely applies!
To link up, share the banner below, link back to this post, and invite your friends to play along. Don’t have a blog? Leave your letter in the comments of this post instead. We’ll share again on Friday, March 9th. See you then!
