Dear June, We’re only eight days in and you are already bursting at the seams. You are, by far, my favorite month of the year and I’m glad that we can slooooow down after this weekend.
Dear Camping Adventure, I am so thankful that you are only two days away! I’m thankful that I get to enjoy all fifteen days of you, that our camper is adorable and fully packed, that the girls are beside themselves about heading south and that we have a list of yummy restaurants to visit very soon.
Dear Bathing Suits, Why are you so difficult? Admittedly, I didn’t anticipate being pregnant this summer, and I thought I’d look better in a bathing suit than I have in years. Instead, I have a massive chest and expanding ribs and everything that touches me above the waist hurts. I’ve tried so many tops in the last few weeks, but this one just might be perfect. Expensive? Yes. But there is no underwire, no itchy spots, no buckles and a lace up back that should grow with me. Praise.
Dear Glow Kids, I probably should have read you before we gave Ella her phone, but I’m going to make sure we’re doing this thing right. I’ve been consuming podcast episodes and trying to establish new routines for my own screen time, to set a better example. I have no intention of letting my daughters become internet statistics.
Dear Sony a6000, You are my new favorite gadget. I’m still learning about you every time I take a photo, but you are so easy to use, the quality of your photos is amazing, and I love how tiny you are. I might also have bought this little waterproof camera for the beach, pool, and water park, but I promise it won’t come close to replacing you!
Dear To Do List, You are so long. Even Ella was overwhelmed by everything listed and volunteered to help me out this week. Prepping the camper and planning for the dance recital is always a little much, but doing it all while pregnant is significantly more difficult.
Dear 100 Day Project, It’s clear that I can’t spend significant time journaling every day. This isn’t the first time I’ve tried and even when I start strong, it’s really hard to keep it up. We had a guest speaker at church on Sunday and he talked a lot about rest and routines. He made the point that you shouldn’t set yourself up for failure, which is exactly what I’ve been doing. Instead, I’m enjoying journaling a few pages a week and getting my into my own routine of scripture reading.
Dear Coffee, I’m so glad you taste delicious again. That is all.
Dear Virtual Friends, I’m so excited that you’re back here again this month. I hope that we can grow this little linkup together and learn all sorts of fun things about each other as we go.
Dear New Visitors, This is our favorite new linkup. The second Friday of every month, we’ll be sharing Little Letters together on our blogs. Write a series of letters to anyone or anything you’d like and come back here to link up. Don’t forget to share with your friends. This is one of those times where “the more, the merrier” definitely applies!
To link up, share the banner below, link back to this post, and invite your friends to play along. Don’t have a blog? Leave your letter in the comments of this post, or on my Instagram or Facebook posts for today instead. We’ll share again on Friday, July 13th. See you then!
