Dear Readers, It would seem I completely flaked on this link up last Friday. I would tell you to blame Ella’s surprise party, but I’ve had this written on my calendar for today the entire month. Whoops.
Dear Calendar, Why can’t all months just begin on Sunday? Wouldn’t that be easier on us all?
Dear Television, We have taken a much needed break from you (aside from football, obvi) and it has been wonderful. Aside from a show here and there, we’ve been avoiding you in favor of really long books and evenings on the porch. I won’t lie, now that summer is officially over, I’m looking forward to some decent TV time again.
Dear Friends, What are your fall television recommendations? I need help navigating the really long list!
Dear Reading Life, I have several really long books I’d like to tackle this month and I thought that might put a damper on things. Apparently not, because I’ve already logged four books this month and given up on another. I started the second Game of Thrones book last night, downloaded a new audible title (thanks to Anne Bogel), and the newest Ken Follett arrived on my desk Wednesday morning. Fall is for reading, right?
Dear UAB Football, We’re sorry we neglected you after college graduation. We’re even more sorry that you got the boot a few years ago. BUT, we’re super excited to have you back and we can’t wait to bring the girls to some games this year. See you Saturday!
Dear Green Clothing Options, Where are you? I’m not keen on wearing an alumni t-shirt to the football game (google: southern girls football attire), but I have had the worst luck finding cute green tops and dresses. I did pick up a few things while Ella was at the studio on Tuesday, so I’m crossing my fingers that one will work.
Dear Orangetheory, We’re coming up on our six month anniversary. What even?! Summer made it hard to squeeze you in five times a week, but our new school year has translated into a much more regular schedule for me. I’m looking forward to my 100th class very soon!
Dear Rowing Machine, You are still kicking my butt in class. I mean that both literally and figuratively. I finally met with a trainer this week about how I can modify my rowing form, because I am over having a bruised tailbone every single day.
Dear Crunchy Car, I had a string of bad luck when it comes to you this year and I’m ready to finally get you fixed. Thank goodness for insurance and rental cars who come to the rescue.
Dear Scoop, You are exhausting. Almost all of the time, you are wonderful. You figure out how to jump on trampolines, you learn to sleep under the covers, and you perform all sorts of adorable tricks. The rest of the time, you tear holes in brand new blouses, have accidents in piles of clean sheets, and terrorize the cat. We’re going to work on that, right?
Dear Neighbors, I’m sorry that she barks a lot. It’s really not a lot, it’s only when there are cats or bird or butterflies or leaves or <insert other moving object here> in our yard.
Dear Birds, You should fly a little higher and avoid the ground at all costs. I’m sorry for your friend. I finally disposed of her after the third day. Bird dogs do that sort of thing.
Dear Dog Trainer, I cannot wait to meet you. I’m going to give you ALL of my dollars and you are going to give me one of those super well-behaved dogs, okay? Okay.
Dear Scooper, Just kidding. You are perfect in every way.
Dear Virtual Friends, I’m so excited that you’re back here again this month. I hope that we can grow this little linkup together and learn all sorts of fun things about each other as we go.
Dear New Visitors, This is our favorite new linkup. The second Friday of every month, we’ll be sharing Little Letters together on our blogs. Write a series of letters to anyone or anything you’d like and come back here to link up. Don’t forget to share with your friends. This is one of those times where “the more, the merrier” definitely applies!
To link up, share the banner below, link back to this post, and invite your friends to play along. Don’t have a blog? Leave your letter in the comments of this post, or on my Instagram or Facebook posts for today instead. We’ll share again on Friday, October 13th. See you then!
