The year-in-review post is one of my favorite things of the entire year. I always love going back through all of our pictures and posts from the previous twelve months and seeing everything we were up to. Let’s dive right in!January is always fun. It’s the start to a brand year and everything is fresh and new. On the blog, we finally recapped Christmas, I had my wisdom teeth pulled and we enjoyed our annual trip to the circus courtesy of my in-laws. We had a head start on our Valentine’s Day treats and I shared free printables and tutorials for these ring pop Valentines and some super cute ballet themed ones, too.
In February, I finally got to share a super sweet project we worked on with Celebrate! Magazine. Sophie got to host a tea party in her bedroom several months before and the issue finally hit the newsstand. I talked about Bible Journaling for the first time and Ella & I ran during the Mercedes Marathon Weekend.
Earlier in the year, I bought Josh tickets for our favorite band to celebrate his birthday and we finally hit the road for a weekend away in March. Ella wrote me some letters, I reposted Sophie’s maternity photos and Ella had her first dance competition of the year in beautiful Chattanooga. Later in the month, she asked us some VERY important questions and we officially survived “the talk.”April was full of fun. We traveled to the beach with Daddy’s baseball team for spring break and managed to celebrate Easter while we were there. Sophie turned five and we celebrated big with a Frozen themed birthday party in the barn. The weather was perfection in May and we spent lots of time outside. We worked in our yard, snuggled with Copper the kitty and ate plenty of strawberries out of our garden. I shared some serious posts, like why I blog and an annual ode to Mother’s Day. We also celebrated Memorial Day and cooked up one of our favorite recipes of the entire year.
June was probably my favorite month of the entire year. It happens every year, but we were so busy having fun that I didn’t even blog about it for an entire month. I did share all about my newfound love of bullet journaling, I read some great books and we bid farewell to our sixth season of dance with a beautiful recital. Finally in July, I got around to recapping our three week excursion to the beach. I shared a tutorial for our bohemian camping mat and told you all about how we squeeze into a travel trailer together for almost a month. We managed to see our favorite band one more time (and meet a few of our favorite people!). And just in case you want to keep reading, we shot new family photographs and celebrated Independence Day with all of our favorite people.I was super flattered in August, to be featured on the Illustrated Faith blog. We celebrated our thirteenth wedding anniversary, said farewell to summer with a quick weekend away and held our annual (and hilarious) back-to-school interviews.September was Blogtember and I teamed up with a ton of great girls for daily posting. It was hard to keep up, but I wrote about lots of fun stuff like my bucket list, a letter to my sixteen year old self and creativity. Ella celebrated her 9th birthday and I shared all about her leopard print ice cream pool party.October was hard, but so rewarding. We had to say goodbye to our furry friend — our first baby girl — who was thirteen years old and so very sick. I joined in for Write 31 Days and shared about Bible Journaling almost every day of the month. I shared my favorite supplies, how I involve my children in Bible Journaling and some free printable sermon notes.November flew by in a flash! I finally got around to sharing all we were up to in October, gave you our favorite crockpot enchilada recipe and shared our gratitude project for the month. I blogged all about my favorite jewelry box (and subscription jewelry service), some cute ideas for teacher gifts and our beautiful Thanksgiving celebration in the barn.December was pretty much amazing. I love everything about the holiday season and this year was no different. We made lots of pretty garland for our home pretty early in the month and took our annual trip to the tree lot for a frasier fir after breakfast. I shared all about my new schedule, Ella danced in a wonderful holiday parade and we created some super cute holiday gift tags for all of your packages. We had an amazing Christmas at home together (that’s coming to the blog on Friday) and started making crazy goals for the new year.
2015, you were pretty stinking amazing and we’re kind of sad to see you go! I hope the next year is just as amazing and challenging and life-giving as you were.
