I have to be honest with you. After spending most of September following the prompts of another blogger, I was looking forward to stretching a little this month. Spreading my wings, if you will. I had a list of post ideas and family topics and photo recaps to share with you and I was excited about being a little less structured in my planning and scheduling. I was sitting in bed on Sunday afternoon, struggling to catch up on design orders, listening to football with one ear and texting back and forth with Jennifer when she mentioned 31 Days. At first glance I was skeptical about whether or not I could commit to sharing about the same topic for an entire month, but part of me was also intrigued.
There are so many reasons I loved the structure of last month (hello accountability and new friends and a renewed love of writing), even if I was itching to move on from it. I whipped out a notebook and started brainstorming for how I could make this happen and there was only ever one contender for a topic about which I could ponder for an entire month. Faith Journaling. I’ve shared several posts about the whys and hows, but I haven’t really been digging deep and I think that is something that I’d like to explore.
For my regular readers, I beg of you to be patient with me for one more month. Don’t abandon all hope that we’ll return to birthday parties and family shenanigans. We will. And November will be all the more entertaining because of this extended hiatus. For those of you visiting for the first time today, I invite you take a journey through the pages of my Bible. Dog eared, paint smeared and well-loved – it tells the story of where I’ve been over the last nine months and where I feel God is so clearly speaking to me today.
I’ll be sharing pages from my own Bible every WEEKDAY this month {or as many as I can manage – please forgive me if I miss a few}, as well as sharing supply lists, resources, inspiration, devotions and process videos. I hope you’ll join me here.
