I’ve had a big idea brewing in my head for quite some time, but I wasn’t sure exactly how it would take shape. After months of thinking and weeks of planning, I wanted to share with you my vision for this year’s holiday cards.
I’ve told you countless times how Bible Journaling has absolutely changed the way I approach the gospel and I can see it bleeding out into every area of my life. Although I have often added Bible verses and spiritual sentiments to my holiday cards, I really wanted to try something different this year.
These Mixed-Media Holiday Cards incorporate a painterly, hand-lettered Bible page on the front and can include your choice of photograph(s) and text on the back OR can be printed as postcards with space for a handwritten note. I’ve already ordered our cards this year (holy early delivery) and I am so smitten with how they turned out!
Now let’s see if I can answer all of your questions!
How big are the cards and what will they look like? All of my holiday cards are digitally printed on 5×7 inch, cotton felt paper and come with complimentary white envelopes.
What if I want a different envelope? You can upgrade to Kraft paper envelopes available for an additional $4 per set or I can send you a link to my favorite colored envelope resource.
How many do I have to order? All of my holiday cards come in sets of 25 and you can order any amount, provided they are in increments of 25. The more you order, the less each set will cost. If you don’t see your number on the list, email me for a custom quote!
I don’t know what to put on the back of the card or what I want it to say! No worries, friend. I have tons of holiday card templates designed over the past five years and would love to put together something fun for your family. Just send me a handful of your favorite photos and the names of your family members — I’ll do the rest!
How long will it take to get the cards once I place my order? I’m aiming for a three week turnaround for any holiday card order placed between now and October 31st. This includes the design time, print turnaround, packaging and delivery. I can offer rush delivery for any order placed between November 1st and 30th, but will be closing shop on December 1st to spend the holiday season with my family.
But what if I’m not ready to order / don’t have my family photos yet / don’t know what I want to say? Have no fear! You can pre-order your cards and secure a spot on my holiday calendar by submitting a non-refundable deposit to be used towards the final cost of your order.
What if it’s December 2nd and I’m only just now finding your shop?! Depending on the volume of other design projects during the month of December, I may accept a limited number of “last minute” orders. Please email me for availability.
What happens to the original art? Can I have it? While not every card will be one-of-a-kind (assuming more than one client requests the same print, etc.), you CAN purchase the original artwork that corresponds with your card while it lasts! If you are purchasing holiday cards, you can “add on” the original artwork for $20. Original pieces will vary in size depending on the Bible pages used, but we can convo about that if you have a specific request.
Will you still be selling digitally designed holiday cards like you have in the past? YES! Not a fan of the mixed media look? Don’t want a Bible verse on your holiday card at all? Not a problem. I will still be offering my standard holiday cards while the shop remains open.
How can we order? There will be new designs listed in the etsy shop VERY SOON, but you can send me an email to discuss a custom print in the meantime.
What information do you need from me before you get started? Whether you checkout via etsy or commission a piece via email, I will need the following information to get started:
- the Bible verse or passage you wish to include on the front-side of your card (either an existing design in the shop or something you’ve been dreaming up yourself),
- any special color or design requests,
- all photographs* you wish to include on the backside,
- the names of everyone you wish to have included, and
- your shipping address.
*Please note, all photographs MUST be the highest resolution available. Photographs taken with your phone are not ideal for printing, but can be used in a collage or insta-style layout. If you have any questions about the quality of your photos, please forward them to me via email and I will offer my best advice for moving forward.
I am so very excited to work with all of my amazing holiday clients this year and I’m hoping I get to add you to that list!
