Dear Monday, I anticipated a fully drafted blogpost to be up by 6 a.m., business as usual. Obviously I overestimated how well I would feel yesterday.
Dear Anniversary, I’m sorry we forgot about you for a minute. Oops.
Dear San Francisco, You were a treasure. I liked you even more than I expected, despite being cold almost the entire time.
Dear Flight Attendants, How about you let us peons get seated and out of your way before you break out the champagne in first class? I think they’ll survive for ten more minutes and it would be easier on us all if you weren’t jumping over my carry-on while taking drink orders.
Dear Jet Lag, Go away. I don’t have time to deal with you this week. Seriously. I’m on central time now, let’s get it together.
Dear Husband, I know I’ve said this a hundred times this week, but I look forward to these four days all year long. Thanks for indulging my whims, feeding me good food and taking numerous “team selfies”.
Dear Taz + Belly, I missed you like crazy. Movie night in our bed was super fun last night (even though your daddy was snoring). Thanks for being so good while we were gone and for giving us lots of extra snuggles last night.
Dear Grandparents and other awesome family, thank you. We appreciate everything you do to make this weekend happen for us each year.
Dear Chicago (or possibly DC), we’re coming for you next!
