I was copying a few photographs onto my hard-drive this week and noticed there were quite a few things in spring that I didn’t blog about. Seeing as they all occurred more than a few weeks ago, I figured it’s a little late to recap at this point. Instead, I decided to share a few favorites along with some other random and useless information. Sound good?
Back in February, our high-school had a fundraiser for the varsity baseball team in the way of an Alumni Baseball Tournament. This is the third year Josh has played and my girls always love spending time at the field watching their daddy. I loved this picture of me and Belle. This is a rare moment when she’s in the mood to snuggle. The photo of Sophie below, is typical Taz. Mischievous with a gleam in her eye. She wanted to wear her hair in a bun that day and it looked so sweet!
Back in March, Josh’s brother got married. I think I showed a handful of those photographs via Instagram. His parents threw a great rehearsal dinner party at Jim & Nick’s BBQ and the food was outstanding. Their macaroni & cheese is seriously good. Josh usually does anything he can to avoid the camera, but he knows better when we’re at family functions. We could easily have gotten someone to snap a picture of us, but we have a tradition of self-portraits like these from all kinds of places. He’s getting pretty good at taking them!
This little cutie belongs to our friends, Beth & Patrick. Eli is such a ham and Taz couldn’t get enough of him that night! She sat right next to him and got herself quite a few snuggles when he would let her.
Also back in March, was my sister, K’s, gender reveal party. I cannot believe we are less than 8 weeks away from meeting our nephew!! Yep, it’s a boy. Sweet Hudson Ray will be making his way here sometime mid-July and I cannot wait to get my hands on him. Her party was adorable and made complete by a giant question-mark pinata that I helped her make. It was a super cute way to announce Hudson’s gender! How cute is she, by the way? Super glow-y pregnant person right there. Just don’t tick her off… her pregnancy temper matches her glow!
That’s it. That’s all I’ve got. Ella’s dance recital is this weekend and then we’re leaving for the beach for 8 days and I have already checked out. I am super busy at work this week, but since the girls are gone until Thursday, I’m making major waves at home – packing, cleaning, staring at the camper and dreaming about the sun and sand. K & I have had numerous phone calls, texts and emails where we do nothing but talk about the beach and what we’re going to do when we get there. Which is funny, because we’ll do exactly what we’ve done for the last 34 and 29 years, respectively. There are no surprises when it comes to our family vacation and that’s just the way I like it.
I have a Fitness Friday post all lined up for you this week and then on Monday, wait for it… I will FINALLY be posting about our fabulous trip to Disney World. In January. That’s six months ago?! My mother is appalled, but life has been full these last few months. There are 8 posts all typed and photo-heavy and ready to be read while we’re soaking up the rays. Aren’t you excited? I swear I laughed and cried all over again while I was editing the photos last week. Disney World with your littles really is the best thing ever.
So, that just leaves tomorrow. Anything you want to talk about? Questions? Comments? Soap boxes? I’ve got answers! Come on, leave a comment and let me know if there’s something really interesting I ought to be dishing about.
