/365: Memorial Day was such a wonderful day spent at the pool with my family. The water was still a little green, but that did not stop the littles from diving right in. We grilled out and ate yummy food all day and enjoyed the first of many days in the sun.
/365: On Tuesday morning, our M&S tickets were finally in the mailbox! We’ve been anxiously awaiting their arrival for months and I’m happy to have them in my hand. I cannot believe it’s only ten days away. We cannot wait to road trip to NOLA. I ran my last mid-day mileage for the summer that same day. 81* is harsh and the humidity in Alabama is killer in the summer. I managed to complete 4 miles, but I was drenched when I got back to work.
/365: My small group just finished up Francis Chan’s Forgotten God a few weeks ago, so this past Wednesday we met for dinner instead. We ate at Pablo’s out on the deck and it was such a nice night to sit outside. They have live music and, of course, the conversation was stellar. This group of girls has come to mean so much to me this past year! 151/365: After ballet class on Thursday, we met Ella’s kindergarten teacher at the nail salon for a pedicure. Ella had such a great year and was already sad about not seeing Sara for a few weeks. This was a great hour of conversation and laughter.
/365: On Friday, I picked up my race packet for Color Me Rad while I was out running errands at lunch. This is probably the best looking race shirt I’ve ever gotten and for maybe the first time ever, it didn’t run so big that someone else could get into it with me! Josh ended up working late that afternoon, so the girls and I hung out on the porch at my parents’ house and visited with Gran & Poppy. SD came to pick us up at 7 and took us to a local restaurant for dinner. Taz crashed in the car, slept through the entire meal, and didn’t even wake up when we dressed her in pjs and put her to bed!
/365: After the race on Saturday, Josh & I took the girls across the street to the high-school and let Ella practice riding her bike with no training wheels. She was a little stressed out and we aren’t quite there yet, but she made huge progress! I’m hoping that after two weeks at the beach, she’ll have it under control. 154/365: The girls left for Gulf Shores with my parents at 3 o’clock Sunday morning, so Josh and I are about to have six full days of childlessness! He played golf Sunday afternoon and I spent almost 9 hours in a sunny spot at my parents’ house. I invited a few girlfriends to leave their children at home and join me for a relaxing day at the pool. Who knows when that will happen again, so I had to take full advantage!
