141/365: I snapped this picture of the front corner of our house on my way to work Monday. My dad & I transplanted this Confederate Jasmine the second summer we lived in our house and I wasn’t sure it would make it. It was a little sprig and barely had enough length to reach the trellis on our chimney. Six years later, it is out of control. It has completely taken over this side of our house and I am in LOVE with it. We’ve been sleeping with that window open (the one you can barely see for the flowers) a night and our bedroom smells heavenly! 142/365: I did some speed work on the treadmill Tuesday morning and I remembered that I had worn this exact outfit in my first race. It’s kind of hard to tell, but I’ve actually lost quite a bit of weight since then!
143/365: On Wednesday, I met some of my sweet family for lunch at Dreamland BBQ on the southside of Birmingham. We are purists, so it was ribs, loaf bread and sweet tea for us all. There is not enough room for sides when you are devouring these things. I do not typically eat meat off the bone, but this is my one exception. We followed it up with their homemade banana pudding and I had to be rolled back to work. 144/365: On Thursday, we picked up pizza after dance class and stopped by Gran’s to pick up Sophie. Josh was cutting grass at the church and we had no plans, so we grabbed our pizza and ate out by the pool. The water is still pretty green, but it’s looking better every day. Later that night, Taz crawled into bed to snuggle with me. She’s becoming quite the little snuggle bunny and usually waits until Ella is fast asleep so she doesn’t have to share.
145/365: On Friday afternoon, I had lots to do around the house, but when I first got home from work I indulged in a watermelon Blow-Pop and a few minutes outside in the sun. The rest of the evening was focused on cleaning and organizing for our morning adventure. 146/365: On Saturday morning we were up bright and early. We had a 9 o’clock appointment to pick up our new (to us) travel trailer! We’ve been tossing around the pros and cons of renting vs. buying for the last several weeks and ultimately decided we’d like to own again. The girls were so excited to finally see what it looks and after several attempts, we finally got it parked in our back yard. The thing is huge!? Sophie insisted on eating lunch out there when we got home. I’ll have a full RV tour later this week as I continue packing it for the beach.
147/365: Sunday after church we ran to Wendy’s for lunch and finally tried out their new frosty cones. The girls were in love and fought me over them. I finally got to finish one off after they were strapped in their carseats and Taz cried, “DON’T EAT IT ALL!!!” the entire time I finished it. Bad parent. Later that afternoon, we enjoyed our first official pool day at Gran & Poppy’s. The water is finally clean, even though it’s a little cloudy, but it did not stop my water babies from jumping in. Sophie climbed up in a chair with me to enjoy some pretzels and started making silly faces for the camera. Hello, Summer!
