/365: I was pleased to finally find a recipe for a protein shake that didn’t make me want to gag. Try one scoop of chocolate Shakeology, a small banana, 2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter and 8 ounces of unsweetened almond milk. Yummy! 128/365: On Tuesday, I raced to the bookstore at lunch to pick up the final installment of the Sookie Stackhouse series. I was more than disappointed. I don’t love who she ends up with and overall, I just thought the book was boring. The series is great and I’d still like to re-read it, I just wish she went out with a bang! Any thoughts on that?
/365: Ella has been begging for weeks to get her ears pierced and we finally did it while we were at the pediatrician’s office for SK’s 3 year checkup. She teared up a little, but was super brave and has done such an excellent job caring for them. She is responsible for cleaning them each night and turning them before bed. We haven’t had a single complaint and they aren’t even sore. After getting back to the office, my sweet friend and I walked to lunch and ordered our “usual” for a lunch outside. It was such a beautiful day!
/365: On Thursday, Sophie spent the majority of the evening “chalking” up the front and back porches. Thankfully they are both concrete and the girls have plenty of places to draw where we can see them from inside. I’ll throw a bucket of water out there later or the next rainstorm will take care of the clean up! 131/365: Another yummy lunch, but this time Beth & I went to Urban Standard and I had a grilled goat-cheese sandwich and cold potato soup. It was divine.
/365: Sophie has started wearing bathingsuits around the house and it cracks me up. This Bama one was Ella’s once upon a time, but it fits her perfect this year. I found her on the potty with a plastic phone “talking to Nana”. Thankfully, that phone call went well, because later in the day they hung out with her for a few hours while Josh & I went swimsuit shopping and loaded up on tacos at Chuy’s.
/365: Mother’s Day was wonderful. I woke up to sweet snuggles from my girls, Sophie wore her bathing suit around the house for me all morning and the Mission Friends group passed out sweet treats for all of the mothers at church. We had a yummy lunch with Josh’s parents and got to watch the Survivor Finale from bed that night. That is my kind of day.
