106/365: It feels a little weird to talk about Monday without mentioning Boston. I ended up not feeling well and spent the morning watching the marathon from bed and loved every moment of it (except for the sick part). A friend of my uncle’s ran it for the first time and I got text updates all morning about his progress. The only time I even left the bed all day was to bring Sophie’s birthday gifts in from the car – can you say princess stuff?! While I was putting all of this away my mom called to see if we were watching the news and for the first time all day the volume was turned down and we had no idea what had just happened. Within 30 minutes of the bombs we were trying to reach Heath & Jeff and finally got a text message to go through. Thankfully, they had already boarded the subway when it happened, but knowing they were there only 30 minutes before was hard to stomach. Much like the rest of you, we have been glued to the television every moment since. 107/365: I went back to work on Tuesday and had a busy day, which left no room for a lunch-time run. Josh usually works late on Tuesdays, so I figured there was no hope of an afternoon workout. Thankfully, I managed to get out for 3.5 miles in the heat and it felt GREAT.
108/365: Between work and Bible study on Wednesday, I did some much needed clothes shopping for the girls. ON was a bust for them, although I’ve mentioned that I got two dresses and a top for myself. I scored big at Gap Kids, though, and got Ella a ton of shorts and tops off the clearance rack. 109/365: The only photos I snapped on Thursday were for the PinStyle challenge and you’ve already seen those! 110/365: On Friday, I met my mom and sister after work to register for her upcoming baby shower. We had a blast picking out lots of tiny things for baby Hudson and I snagged this super cute Dead onesie for him. His daddy says he might need to wear that in the hospital. It’s nice to have a fellow dead-head in the family. Coincidentally, Rolling Stone put out a special issue devoted to the band this week and if you listen to them at all, you should pick it up. Josh is tired of hearing my rolling commentary on Jerry Garcia this week!
111/365: The weekend was lazy, thank heavens. Josh took Ella to the varsity baseball team’s double-header and SK and I stayed close to home. I worked on getting things together for a multi-family yard sale next month and went through all of the bins of Ella’s clothes I’ve put in storage to see what I could find for Sophie to wear this season. Thankfully, I saved almost everything and hit the jackpot. On the other hand, the pairs of shoes that are too little for Ella and still too big for Sophie is ridic. Seriously, there must be twenty pair in there right now and that doesn’t count all of the ones SK has already outgrown?! 112/265: Sunday was a great day in worship. We had a wonderful morning service, Bible study in the afternoon and a fun fellowship that evening. The girls were acting silly after Mission Friends and when I went to snap their picture on the way out to the car, this is what I got. We are never at a loss for poses!
