11/18: Josh was still sporting his ridiculous mustache. In case you aren’t friends with either of us on Facebook, this one deserves a story. He had a full beard for no-shave November and decided he couldn’t take it. He shaved everything but the mustache on Saturday night as a joke, but I had too extreme of a reaction that he decided to keep it and drive me crazy. Finally on Tuesday, I pitched a royal birthday-girl and some tears were involved (I’m not proud of that) and he gave up. He knew how obnoxious it was, but he loves to embarrass himself and anyone around him and thinks it’s funny that other people might have taken the stache seriously.
11/20: My 33rd birthday, even though I spent most of the day thinking it was my 34th. I wore this super cute new F21 sweater to work and then joined Ella at school for the kindergarten Thanksgiving feast.
11/21: I had a practice run on my Thanksgiving outfit and as much as I love the orange pants, I didn’t wear them again on Thursday. I did like everything else, though. We had dinner that night at our friends’ home and spent some much needed time with these cute girls. My littles were in heaven!! Later that night I got started on my lunch for the next day, including Josh’s grandmother’s’ famous white bread dressing.
11/22: And then there was Thanksgiving Day!! It was such a wonderful one, too. My girls started the day with pigs in a blanket for breakfast and the parade, of course. I sported the same top from the day before and lots of arm candy. That is the dessert spread at my mom’s just before we started eating. YUMMY.
K & I always joke that we never get a picture of the buffet before it gets decimated, so I was sure to snap one before the blessing. I also had to note that almost everything on my entire plate was white or yellow. I’m kind of anti-vegetable when it comes to holidays. Right before dinner, we snapped this cute picture on my parents’ porch for our Christmas card. I am so happy with how it turned out!
There were very obviously cards and naps involved. Sophie slept hard in three different positions before we finally managed to wake her up.
11/23: Friday was such a nice and lazy day at home. The girls and I did some deep cleaning in their rooms and got started on our holiday decorations. We convinced Sweet Daddy to take us out for Mexican for dinner and we snagged our tree on the way home. It’s a beauty this year.
11/24: And on Saturday, we headed to Tuscaloosa for our last home game of the season. We had a great day tailgating and even though they weren’t cheap, we got tickets for the game right before kick-off. We sat in the upper deck until half-time and then once the stadium emptied out a bit, we went down to the student section to cheer the Tide as they railroaded our biggest rival 49-0 (sorry, friends). We hung out so long after the game that security finally left and we got a coveted photo on the 50 yard line in Bryant Denny. We shot some hilarious video and the boys managed to play a little football on the field. Roll Tide!
