Sunday, September 16 (Day 251): I stayed up late watching E.T. The Extra Terrestrial with my two best girls. We didn’t get to finish it in one sitting, but they were very intrigued. They kept asking questions and were very concerned that “the man with the keys” was going to get him!
Monday, September 17 (Day 252): I started Gillian Flynn book number two. So addicted to her writing. It’s too bad there are only three!
Tuesday, September 18 (Day 253): Ella got a few Vera Bradley bags for her birthday, but needed a cute tag with her name on them. I ordered clear, plastic luggage tags, downloaded an image of the pattern (Va Va Bloom) and whipped these up. Now I think I need to make some for me!
Wednesday, September 19 (Day 253): Traffic wasn’t moving AT. ALL. Need I say more?
Thursday, September 20 (Day 254): I listened to this on repeat despite the fact that I’m nearly twice her age. I heart Taylor Swift.
Friday, September 21 (Day 255): Day one of dotMom got off to a late start, but we had such a good time. I can’t wait to recap some of the sessions we attended and tell you all of the wonderful things I learned.
Saturday, September 22 (Day 256): Not ready for our weekend to be over, we prolonged the going home and had dinner together at Chili’s after day two of the conference. We had no idea we’d witness such a sight. An older couple sitting near us (mid seventies, at least) pitched a fit about the state of their meal, the lack of service and the costs. Interestingly enough, our food was excellent and we had the same waitress. I’ve never been so embarrassed on someone else’s behalf and learned exactly how I don’t want to be as an older person. We were disgusted with their behavior, but at least shared a good laugh with the waitress after they finally paid their tab and yelled their way out of the restaurant.
I’ve committed to taking a photograph-a-day to document one year in the life of the little princesses. If you’d like to look at images from previous weeks, please click the links below!
