Better late than never, right?
Sunday, May 27 (Day 147): On Sunday, we had the pleasure of eating dinner with our best friend from high school. His family was in town for the holiday weekend and we had a yummy crawfish boil at his parents’ house. The kids swam all afternoon and we stuffed ourselves silly. It just happened to be his oldest daughters’ 11th birthday, so we celebrated with these yummy cupcakes. Seriously… the icing was whipped and light and fantastic!
Monday, May 28 (Day 148): Monday was Memorial Day and the first official pool day of the year. My entire, insanely loud and crazy family invaded the pool at my parents’s house. There was food everywhere and the pool was full of kids all day. My girls were worn out by the time we went home and we all slept great that night. As this photo indicates, the weather could not have been more perfect for the festivities.
Tuesday, May 29 (Day 149): Tuesday, I was exhausted. We actually went back to Chris’ parents’ house for another amazing dinner and wore the girls out in the pool. We finished the night with popsicles and an early bedtime for mom and dad.
Wednesday, May 30 (Day 150): I completely ignored the photo prompt on Wednesday. I’m not at all sure how to capture my personality in a photograph?! Instead, I took a picture of this yumminess. I met my Bible study friends for dinner at Carrabba’s and devoured this Chicken Bryan. What’s not to love about goat cheese and basil? We followed dinner with a dessert of movie popcorn and Junior Mints while we watched What to Expect When Expecting. Paleo-fail, anyone?
Thursday, May 31 (Day 151): So Thursday. I’m guessing you’ll notice the absence of an instagram photograph here. I can’t even make anything up. There isn’t a single photograph between the one on Wednesday and the one below. There isn’t even one from a previous day that I can pretend is supposed to go here. I cannot believe on day 151, I finally managed to forget to take a picture. Boo. I can’t bear to leave this spot empty, so I’ll show you something beautiful that was captured by my sweet sister a few weeks ago. Presh, right? This is my girls to a T.
Friday, June 1 (Day 152): On Friday afternoon, I met my best friend Ryan for a fantastic pedicure, mexican food for dinner, a tour around Target and a late night ice cream cone. I might not have taken this picture in the morning, but I was certainly thinking about this coconut ice cream from the moment my feet hit the floor. We had such a good time and successfully managed to try on every dress and pair of sandals in Target. I didn’t get home until 11 o’clock and I was stuffed full and worn out. The perfect girly date night was had by all!
Saturday, June 2 (Day 153): Oh, Sophie. This is what happens when you attempt to take a nap while your big kid “watches” your little kid, but mostly they bug the stew out of you about when they are leaving for the beach (with my parents). She eventually got bored with us all and found Ella’s lipgloss stash. Cute as she is, I’m guessing this tube of gloss what empty when she finished with it!
