It’s that time again! I might not have blogged very much in February, leaving little to be recapped, but I do have some pretty great stories to share later this week. February was interesting.

First up was Project 365. I took a picture based on the prompt everyday this month except for the 5th. It was Super Bowl Sunday and being in church made it a little difficult to take a photograph at 10 o’clock in the morning. Instead, I posted a funny image of Sophie chewing on her toes during our Super Bowl Party! What a weirdo?!
As for my revolutions, I think I did a pretty great job this month. Here is where we stand:
- We had another opportunity to purchase gifts this month and that was fun. We each got something we really wanted for Valentine’s Day and were able to buy the girls a sweet gift, as well. It was a lot of fun and I’m glad we decided to do that.
- Housework and laundry are still going better. The littles are helping out and we have more of a schedule than we used to. Just picking up for a minute when we get home in the afternoon is helping so much!
- Meal planning is my new favorite thing. We didn’t do well this week because Josh’s trip last week kind of threw our schedule off. Prior to that, we were spending Sunday afternoons planning meals, making a list and going to the market as a family.
- Bible study is going much better, too. I haven’t been as faithful to spend time in devotion with Ella as I wanted to, but we talked about it today and we’re going to get back on our schedule. I am still really enjoying my Crazy Love book and I am also reading through the gospels right now.
- I did spend a little more money on myself this month than I’d like to admit. I bought a pair of running shoes (which I used for two weeks) only to realize that they were a very poor choice for my feet. I managed to sell them on eBay, but I was still out $30 and I had to buy another pair. Hopefully, getting advice this time will keep me from making another mistake! I also bought two dresses for work and a few books.
- Speaking of books, I finished reading Nicolas Sparks’ newest “The Best of Me”. It was pretty good, but probably my least favorite book of his. I just wasn’t happy with how it ended. I’m much more excited about this month’s selections!
- The thing that I did the BEST at this month was being healthy. I started Couch to 5k at the beginning of the month and I’m really enjoying it! I’m supplementing it with the elliptical trainer at the gym, Jillian Michaels at home and some light weightlifting. I had to take this last week off to rest my knee, but I am ready to get back on my schedule this weekend.
- I also signed up for My Fitness Pal and it is helping tremendously. I’ve been logging in for a little over two weeks and I’ve lost 5 pounds. Seriously. I couldn’t be happier. It is hard to believe that I might actually reach my goal by summer.
